LLecarud had to head out of town, so I'm knocking these donw for him this week.
#1 Carolina Hammer vs. #5 Care Bears
Will the real Care Bears show up? They lose to Orlando by 18, beat DC by 10, then lose to NY by 2, lose to the Monkeys by 14, then beat Canton and the Rock Stars before tieing Colorado??? This is the most confusing team this year, but they aren’t ready to knock Carolina off their perch. Carolina by 17.
Carolina 27 – Care Bears 10
#2 Dogg Pound vs. #5 Canton Hall of Famers
The Dogg Pound continue to roll and are looking to lock up the #2 seed. Canton meanwhile has locked up a playoff seed (they hold the tiebreakers), but is only one game out of a home-field playoff game. Look for a tight game as both teams come to play. Orlando’s just too tough today and comes out with a 10 point win.
Orlando 30 – Canton 20
#3 DC Warriors vs. #13 Columbus Spartans
Yeah… DC by 30
DC 30 - Columbus 0
#4 Eleven Wise Monkeys vs. #7 Rock Stars
The Rock Stars are reeling after 3 straight losses and a win over the Monkey’s would get them right back into the #4 Seed. The Monkeys would seal up the #4 seed with a win today as their next 2 games are against the Colorado Storm and San Francisco. I’m calling the upset today – Rock stars by 3
Rock Stars 13 – Monkeys 10
#8 Colorado Storm vs. #10 NY Steel-heads
If someone looked at this game at the beginning of the season, they would have never thought that NY would have a worse record or a lower rating, but here we are. After a vicious streak of losses to DC, Orlando, the Monkeys, Canton, and the Rock Stars, NY came up huge last week with the upset win over the Rock Stars. Meanwhile the Storm has their own statement game of the season 2 weeks ago as they tied the Care Bears 14-14.
After this game, both teams should go 1-1 for the rest of the season as NY should beat Columbus but lose to the Roughnecks, while Colorado should lose to the Monkeys but beat Austin Powers. With that in view and both teams trying to catch the Oregon Ducks, whichever team loses today is likely out of the playoffs while the winner survives to try and catch the Ducks. I’m very impressed with the NY win over the Rockstars and they also beat the Care Bears earlier (who Colorado tied), so I’m going with NY in this tight contest by 7.
NY 17 – Colorado 10
#8 Oregon Ducks vs. #15 Baltimore Blood Ravens
The bottom 3 in his conference are just awful. Oregon by 63.
Oregon 63 – Baltimore 0
#11 French Lick vs. #14 Cleveland Greyhounds
French Lick may have faded after their early season successes, but they’re still better than Cleveland. French Lick by 42.
French Lick 49 – Cleveland 7
#12 Compton ‘Nilla Wafers vs .#16 West Bend Warlocks
I’m still confused why West Bend hasn’t been sold back, but they now have a lvl 2 left guard now, so watch guys. Whats worse, is that these guys probably won’t be relegated next season after 2 early season wins. Compton tops 150 in this one.
Compton 150 – West Bend 0
