There are several team names I don't get. I thought this would be a good time to explain where the team names came from.



Kilimanjaro Sno-Caps is obviously a play on snow caps of Kilimanjaro (which I thought was the coolest sounding African country). Our stadium is Nestle's Base Camp which attempts to use the same play: Nestle's makes Sno-Caps... get it?


OK - what the heck does "Eritrea Evarcha culicivora" mean? Why does Bombali need two Browns? What's a Dingonek and is Pretoria in Africa?

The first team gets me too. I hate even saying the name when I talk to my teams GM since I can't ever pronounce it.

And we need 2 Browns because thats the name of the drugs we are on . A common drug in Serra Leone (Bombali is a city of Serra Leone) is Brown-Brown. Brown-Brown is a mixture of Cocaine and Gunpowder.

Check out the movie Lord of War with Nicolas Cage. Thats where we got the Brown-Brown from.

Also our stadium is called "The Rehab Center". We are trying to help the citizens of Bombali and surrounding areas get off the drug since we have a legitimate business now in owning the Brown-Browns we(we as in my GM and I) don't have to sell so much of it to the people anymore. Basically we are trying to fix the people that supported us for so long.

Ha! That's great stuff - it all falls into place now! That's a good theme too. Well, I think you need some jerseys ('cept Fatal Error - we likey) and I need to be able to see that it's drugs and not C-4 explosives.

I need to watch that movie again.

And LOL at the C-4 reference. What can I say I'm not very good at photo shop even though I think I am.

This game is like using drugs. When you start you cant stop. So if you need help come play the brown-browns at the rehab Center.

Kibwezi was a town in Kenya but now it is has been degraded to just a district. A Choppaholic is one that is addicted to screwed and chopped music made popular by DJ Screw from Houston, Texas. Choppaholix is plural for Choppaholic because there is a whole team of us.

We named our stadium Syrup City which is another name for Houston which is the home of screwed and chopped music. Syrup is also known as purple drank because we always sippin on that Texas Tea.

If you don't know what screwed and chopped music is it is music that has been slowed down and parts are repeated and other parts are dropped...just see our website and you should understand.

Man chopped and screwed music is slow to me, but I do like some of it. And keep drinking on that syrup and your going to end up like little wayne. That boy is messed up from that stuff.

Dang dubs - I had no idea you put all that into it. I was wondering why you didn't have a motorcycle 'Chopper' for your team logo, lol. And I'm afraid to check the website out for a music sample; I'm really old for your young, whipper-snapper music.

Tunis is where Indiana Jones went to find the Ark in Raiders of the Lost Ark... Asps are the snakes that he ran into.

My stadium name "The Well of Souls" is another reference to the first movie. I thought it would be cool to tie them all together.

Headhunters because we're always looking for head.

Casablanca was ruled for centuries by the Sultan. Plus it's just a great title with lots of vivid imagery.

I checked a week or so ago, and we're the only GLB team with the name Sultans. I like that. We're original.

I think our logo is the best in the league. Bearcat89 was the designer for the helmet and the Sultans logo. Props to him for his fine work!

I didn't know Tunis was an I.J. reference. I do remember the Well of Souls reference though - that's a good theme.

I'd say the Sultan team logo would prolly win best artwork. It's very professional looking; I couldn't tell if it was a premade one you borrowed or one you had made. Yours and the Piranhas logo is nice too - quality wise, I mean.

Evarcha culicivora is a rare breed of jumping spider in Africa that prefers to feed off female mosquitoes that have human blood in them. As for the Eritrea, that was the original country in Africa the team represented before i renamed it.

Well, our old name was gay and West Nile is cool


Nah, we were just giong through names in our team forums and nothing stuck....so I went out to my friends house and he was like 'Watch out, you might get the West Nile Virus' (since we were by them) and it stuck.
