Ok since we have a Alpha Playoff Picture hopefully this will clear up Zeta Playoff Picture.
_____________________________________________________________________________

Here are the current standings of playoff contenders, streak and remaining opponents

1 Inverness Highlanders (13-0, W13) – at Stockholm (7-5-1), Dungannon (2-11), at Oslo (6-7)
2 Berlin Ballers (11-2, W2) – Bordeaux (7-5-1), at Frankfurt (0-13), at Atom (1-12)
3 Aarhus Stingers (9-4, W1) - at Italian (8-5), Barcelona (1-12), Coventry (3-10)
4 Birmingham Cardinals (9-4, W1) – Landstuhl (4-9), at Bushy Park (7-6), Southampton (7-6)
5 Dublin Dragoons (8-5, W1) – Bushy Park (7-6), at Bordeaux (7-5-1), The Big Red Machine (0-13)
6 Italian Stallions (8-5, W5) – Aarhus (9-4), at Mobile Alabama (5-8), at Whitchurch (4-9)
7 Dallas Browns (8-5, W5) – Frankfurt (0-13), at Paris (4-9), at West Country (8-5)
8 Stockholm Syndrome (7-5-1, L1) – Inverness (13-0), at Landstuhl (4-9), at Amsterdam (2-11)
9 Bordeaux Carlin (7-5-1, L1) – at Berlin (11-2), Dublin (8-5), Toulouse (12-1)
10 Bushy Park Badgers (7-6, L2) – at Dublin (8-5), Birmingham (9-4), PGL (8-5)
11 Mobile Alabama Leprechauns (5-8, L1) – at Dungannon (2-11), Italian (8-5), Wolverhampton (4-9)

1st seed: Likely Inverness. Only way for Inverness to lose the 1 seed is if they lost ALL remaining games and Berlin won ALL their games as Inverness holds tiebreaker over Berlin.
2nd seed: Likely Berlin. Berlin only has to win one of their remaining games to seal the #2 seed and since Frankfort and Atom have combined for only one victory this would be an easy task.

3-10 is where it gets interesting:
#3 and 4 seeds could be interchanged depending on the outcome of the Aarhus vs Italian game and if Birmingham doesn’t falter against Bushy Park or Southampton.
#5-7 seeds could make a run for #3 or sneak in a #4 seeds with Italian having the best opportunity to sneak in one of those spots. Dublin has the toughest road of the three vying for these spots
#8 seed should see Stockholm clinging on to this as both Bordeaux and Bushy Park have brutal schedules to end the season. Mobile Alabama mathematically is still in the playoff hunt although a lot would have to happen for them to gain the final spot.

This is my projected final seedings and final records:

1 Inverness Highlanders (15-1)
2 Berlin Ballers (14-2)
3 Birmingham Cardinals (12-4)
4 Italian Stallions (11-5)
5 Aarhus Stingers (11-5)
6 Stockholm Syndrome (10-5-1)
7 Dublin Dragoons (10-6)
8 Dallas Browns (10-6)

Cool, it looks like the Aarhus - Italian game tomorrow could very well decide who gets the #4 seed and the playoff money that goes with it.

Actually if Aarhus takes care of business and wins they will have the #3 seed. They could still in essence lose and still have the #3 or #4 seed because they hold the tiebreaker over us if we lose another game which is possible. I am not sure what the tiebreaker is for a three way tie in which each team has beaten one involved which would be the case if Italian beats Aarhus and we all 3 end up with similiar records.

I'm pretty sure when more than two teams are tied the first tie breaker is overall record vs all the teams involved in the tie. If everyone has the same record 1-1 then I believe it would go to total points scored.

Here are the current points for for those three teams:
425 Birmingham
417 Italian
384 Aarhus

Bonn currently leads the league and has 666 points scored, lol.

666? Yikes you better score some more points should end up with 777. *lol* We all 3 would have 1-1 records if Italian defeats Aarhus. Thanks for all you do for this league WOC.

Nice analysis. Hard to argue with it, though I think Italian has a deceptively tough remaining schedule and Dallas has an easier road to 11-5. Aarhus and Mobile are capable of beating almost every team in Zeta, while Dallas's biggest challenge should be the Wyverns. I would venture a guess that Dallas is in the best position to get the 4th seed out of Italian, Dublin and Dallas, though I don't see Aarhus falling out of the top 4.

Our game with Aarhus is the biggest game of the year for us. If we can scrape together a W it would be huge for us. Should be a good game.

I would tend to agree and all of it will unfold tomorrow after the Italian vs Aarhus matchup as it is HUGE. This provided Birmingham can also perform up their standards against a scrappy Bushy Park and Southampton who is NO slouch. Bushy Park and Bordeaux have a tough road ahead and if they make the playoffs they would have EARNED it.

Yes although Inverness should beat Stockholm as I just don't see any team going undefeated in this conference and might as well get the upset out of the way before the playoffs. The conference is Inverness to take this season as it is their year.

Playoff Picture updated!

1 Inverness Highlanders (15-0, W15) – at Oslo (8-7)
2 Berlin Ballers (13-2, W4) – at Atom (1-14)
3 Birmingham Cardinals (11-4, W3) – at Southampton (7-8)
4 Italian Stallions (10-5, W7) – at Whitchurch (4-11)
5 Aarhus Stingers (10-5, W1) - Coventry (3-12)
6 Dallas Browns (10-5, W7) – at West Country (9-6)
7 Dublin Dragoons (9-6, L1) – The Big Red Machine (0-15)
8 Stockholm Syndrome (8-6-1, W1) – at Amsterdam (2-13)
9 Bordeaux Carlin (8-6-1, W1) – Toulouse (14-1)

The top 6 have CLINCHED playoff spots while Dublin, Stockholm and Bordeaux are fighting for the remaining 2 spots.

Inverness Clinched #1 Seed
Berlin Clinched #2 Seed

Birmingham can falter no worse than a #6 seed and no better than a #3 seed.
Italian, Aarhus and Dallas can falter no worse than a #7 seed and no better than a #3 seed.
Dublin can fall out of the playoffs if they lose and BOTH Stockholm and Bordeaux win. Not sure what the highest they can rise.
Stockholm if they win they are in the playoffs and can do no better than a #7 seed.
Bordeaux is only in if they win and Stockholm or Dublin loses.

Projected finish:

1 Inverness Highlanders (16-0)
2 Berlin Ballers (14-2)
3 Birmingham Cardinals (12-4)
4 Italian Stallions (11-5)
5 Aarhus Stingers (11-5)
6 Dublin Dragoons (10-6)
7 Dallas Browns (10-6)
8 Stockholm Syndrome (9-5-1)

Rest of the Zeta Conference

So tough to let that #4 seed slip this week. Congrats to Bordeaux on a big win. That one hurt! Nice work, guys.

I hate how the number 4 seed is now worth so many more millions than the 5th seed. That just doesn't seem real fair to me.
