Unfortunately, I'm still finishing moving my stuff from and preparing my old house, so I won't be able to do a long/fun write-up, but here are my picks.
Gunston Drunks over Ethiopian Food Mongers
Gunston has struggled against better competition in the second half of the season, but the Food Mongers aren't exactly high level competition. I have Gunston in this one, but it will be closer than most people think.
Algeria Dune Hoppers vs. Nigeria Warriors
Algeria should take this one as the Warriors are still trying to put the cogs together this season while being on their 3rd owner.
Casablanca Golden Eagles over Ethiopia Hungry Hungry Hippos
Whale Shark feasts on a weak Hippos defense. It's as simple as that. Eagles by a lot.
Cairo Mummy Warriors over Carthage Mercenaries
This is easily my matchup of the week. Both teams have been riding high while beating on the easier parts of their schedule, but Cairo has the edge when it comes to chemistry. I think this will come into play some as Cairo takes this game by a nose.
Congo Cripplers over Madagascar Grand JagerMenze
Congo overpowers Madagascar, it's an easy enough call.
Freetown Jayhawks over P-Town Ballaz
Freetown's offense will be waaaay too much for the Ballaz defense to handle. Freetown should take this by at least 17.
Egypt Dragons vs. Nigerian Nightmares
This is the most intriguing matchup of the week in our conference. Sniper's public freak out (who didn't see it coming?) because he did nothing but try to boost his QB's stats and was a poor manager brought balony to our league. Honestly, who didn't plan against the pass when Egypt had tough games before? Nigerian's in an interesting spot because no one knows what to plan for quite yet against the new look Dragons and Nigerian has played teams like Casablanca pretty tough. I'm expecting a pretty high scoring affair in this one, but sorry Rook - I think Egypt will take this game.
