Well, it looks like Austin just about has #1 seed wrapped up and continues to look dominant.

Top 9 Current standings (remaining opponenets):
1 Austin Lumberjacks 13-1-0 (Dallas, Kardiac Kids)
2 Silverymoon Elves 12-2-0 (Buffalo, Alpine)
3 Oakland Wizards 11-3-0 (Cyclones, WOLF PACK)
4 Buffalo Rangers 11-3-0 (Elves, NSDK)
5 Dallas Red Raiders 10-3-1 (Austin, Pterodactyls)
6 Portland Hitmen 10-4-0 (Stunners, St. Cloud)
7 Spicewood Longhorns 9-5-0 (n00bs, Ninjas)
8 Las Vegas Stunners 8-5-1 (Portland, ROADFROGS)
9 San Diego Marauders 8-6-0 (Mist, Hawks)

Projected finish:
Austin - 15-1
Elves - 13-3 (loss to Alpine)
Oakland - 13-3
Dallas - 11-4-1 (loss to Austin)
Spicewood - 11-5
Buffalo - 11-5 (losses to Elves and NSDK)
Portland - 11-5 (loss to Stunners)
Las Vegas - 10-5-1
San Diego - 10-6

Last spot in will be between San Diego and Las Vegas - Stunners need to beat Portland to remain in playoff contention. Spicewood can move to a #4 seed (own tie-break with Buffalo/Portland) depending on the results of other games...

San Diego could finish at 10-6 and not make the playoffs...

8 Spicewood Longhorns 8-5-0 (Stunners, n00bs, Ninjas)
9 San Diego Marauders 7-6-0 (proctorville, Mist, Hawks)

Projected finish:
Austin - 16-0
Elves - 13-3 (loss to Alpine)
Oakland - 13-3 (loss to Elves)
Dallas - 11-4-1 (loss to Austin)
Spicewood - 11-5 (tossup WIN over Stunners)
Las Vegas - 11-4-1 (tossup WIN over Spicewood)

Buffalo - 11-5 (losses to Elves and NSDK)
Las Vegas - 10-5-1 (tossup LOSS to Spicewood)
San Diego - 10-6
Spicewood - 10-6 (tossup LOSS to Stunners)
Portland - 10-6 (losses to Austin and Stunners)

Last spot in will be between Spicewood, Portland and Las Vegas - Portland needs to beat the Stunners to get in the playoffs or have upset losses from other teams. Stunners need to beat either Portland or Spicewood. Spicewood can move to a #4 seed (own tie-break with Buffalo) or be out of the playoffs completely depending on the results of other games...

Someone could finish at 10-6 and not make the playoffs...

The winner of Las Vegas vs Portland moves on to the playoffs, while the loser doesn't make it.
In my opinion at least.

That is brutal.

TBQH, Las Vegas is ridiculously scary. I didn't think we'd win our matchup against them, and as shown, it was really close.

Portland is not fun to play either. We jumped out to a win against them but there are a number of teams I'd rather face in the playoffs.

An ideal situation for the Elves (TBH) is Stunners vs Lumberjacks in round 1

Most teams I think prefer to be in the bracket opposite Austin...putting Las Vegas in that bracket opposite Spicewood would work for me as well, but I still need to get past them in the regular season for that to happen...unfortuneately, it looks like a win might put us in the same bracket as Austin for a 2nd round game...

But I'd rather that than staying home altogether which is a decent possibility if we loose the game....so here's to playing Austin in round 2

Remember that they re-seed after each round. So if you're a 7 seed, you'll have to face the Lumberjacks in round 2, assuming you both win.

Don't worry about it, you gotta face the Jacks sooner or later to win the conference.

You don't think the Hawks can beat San Diego? That game looks like a toss up to me

I think they COULD.
But will they? I doubt it.

Even though I'll be cheering for Harrisburg big time.

Harrisburg just recently reloaded their entire defense that was giving up +50 points per game in the big games. Really it is quite possible if we play decent defense that we can win. Also don't forget if we somehow beat NMR we will be playing for a playoff spot so we may really want the win.

I don't think they re-seed...the brackets are set and follow along a 1-8/4-5 and 2-7/3-6

and yes, somewhere we hopefully face the jacks, I just would rather it not be in round 1

They do reseed. I'm 100% sure of this.

Aww, how sweet of you all to....well, to know your place. It's kinda cute to see ya'll jostling for chairs at the dinner table, while dining with Futility. You all know well this houseguest, yet you harbor him still. You're feeding the man who's fucking your wife. You know you won't be able to sleep tonight when she leaves to "accompany an old girlfriend who's feeling lonely." Yet you break out the Fine China.

Hay ocho platos pero solamente uno bistec.

I gotta admit you guys have mastered the art of giving in. What kind of a competitor doesn't want to face that guy at the top, and first? You'd never make it as a boxer.

Buck up or BOHICA!

Just remember one thing: Nobody takes a piss at this party without asking the LumberJacks for permission first. Never mind you're the host.

And keep your damn eyes on the floor til someone can draw ours.
