Here are the current standings of playoff contenders, streak and remaining opponents
1 Bonn Dynamo 12-1-0 W1 - Armagh, Coventry, Barcelona
2 Toulouse Aviators 12-1-0 W12 - Amsterdam, West Country, Bordeaux
3 Eurotrash Rabid Bats 11-2-0 W5 - Whitchurch, Southampton, Landstuhl
4 Manchester Mob 10-3-0 L1 - Big Red, Whitchurch, Paris
5 PGL Gamers 8-5-0 W1 - Wolverhampton, Oslo, Bushy Park
6 Armagh Rally 8-5-0 L1 - Bonn, Big Red, Dungannon
7 Whitechapel Rippers 8-5-0 W2 - Southampton, Atom, Frankfurt
8 West Country Wyverns 8-5-0 W1 - Coventry, Toulouse, Dallas
9 Southampton Stags 7-6-0 L1 - Whitechapel, Eurotrash, Birmingham
10 Oslo Ice Robots 6-7-0 W3 - Atom, PGL, Inverness
1st seed: Likely Bonn. If we beat Armagh, we'll be heavily favored to beat both Coventry and Barcelona and we own the tie breaker vs Toulouse.
2nd seed: Likely Toulouse. They do have WCW and borderline Zeta playoff contender Bordeaux, but they essentially have a game to spare since they own the tie breaker over Euro and also have 1 fewer loss.
3rd seed: Likely Eurotrash. It's unlikely they'll overtake 2nd and they may get a challenge from Southampton, but all signs point to them going 3-0 and remaining 3rd.
4th seed: Likely Manchester. They can't really climb higher and likewise they won't fall as they don't have any string challenges.
5-8 is where it gets interesting:
PGL has 3 winnable games, Oslo is a 8th seed contender and Bushy Park is a vastly improved team in Zeta and could win that game, PGL and Bushy Park are 14th and 15th in the power rankings. PGLs losses have come to the tougher teams. I see PGL going 2-1 or 3-0 down the stretch putting them at 11-5 or 10-6
Armagh should go 2-1 down the stretch which puts them at 10-6
Whitechapel has an easy draw, they get a challenge from Southampton, but their last two should be stat fests, 2-1 or 3-0 which puts them at 11-5 or 10-6
West Country will beat Coventry, probably lose to Toulouse and has a tough game vs Dallas from Zeta. They're currently ranked 12th and 13th so it should be a good game. I think WCW goes 2-1 or 1-2 down the stretch which puts them at 10-6 or 9-7
Southampton has a tough remaining schedule. They could easily go 0-3 and finish at 7-9.
Oslo got a tough draw and faces the #1 overall team, will beat Atom and could contend vs PGL, best case 2-1, more likely 1-2 which would put them at 7-9 or 8-8
So, if games go they way the rankings, etc this will be your 5-8 seeds:
5 PGL 11-5 (owns tie breaker over Whitechapel)
6 Whitechapel 11-5
7 West Country 10-6 (owns tie breaker over Armagh)
8 Armagh 10-6
The big seeding games are going to be
Game 14 Whitechapel vs Southampton (Whitechapel win pretty much eliminates Southampton)
Game 15 PGL vs Oslo (PGL win eliminates Oslo)
Game 16 PGL vs Bushy Park
Game 16 West Country vs Dallas
There are obviously a couple of other scenarios, but basically I think it will boil down to PGL & Whitechapel in the 5-6 range and Armagh and WCW in the 7-8 range.
