As the race is nearing an end, the Western conference appears to have a lock in the #1 spot, while the East's top spot is also very close to being locked up by QC. Their aren't many big risers this week, and the only real noticeable fall is by Nebraska (#3 to #7). Odds of making playoffs is also included this week!

Here they are:
Team Name/Record/Prev Week

The Playoff teams:
1) Saskatchewan Sasquatches 12-0 1
Tell me any team they still have to play that can beat them. They currently have a three game lead over #2 Vinland, thanks to their win over them. If they win two more games, they are guaranteed the #1 spot...and winning two games will be piece of cake for them.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
2) Queen City Black Cats 11-1 2
They were back to clicking against Flint, which would be good medicine for any team coming off a tough loss. If this team can beat Halifax in two weeks, they'll get homefield advantage through the playoffs due to their victories over #3 Cheyenne and #4 Sudbury.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
3) Cheyenne Mountain Air Force 10-2 4
Has one more easy game against Petersborough before the last three could provide challenging: St. Johns, Monetreal, and Hillsburgh remain. If they manage to go undefeated, and Halifax loses to #2 QC, they'll have the #2 seed locked up due to their victory over Sudbury.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
4) Sudbury Spartans 10-2 5
Back to back impressive victories over Halifax and Nebraska make this team look scary good. The rest of the schedules looks to be all "W"'s, with Red Deer and Saskatoon being the only teams that will even take the field against them. Barkmere and Bloodweiser are easy wins.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
5) Vinland Vikings 10-2 6
They would have had a much tougher game if Cold Lake hadn't quit on the season, but it looks like their defense saw my comments from last week and shut out an opponent to refute my concerns.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
6) Halifax Hashishim 10-2 7
The current #4 team in the East thanks to losses to the other 10-2 teams (Sudbury, Cheyenne), they still play the top team. It is possible, though unlikely, that with a win over QC in two weeks they could still get the top spot...but for that to happen, they'd have to go undefeated, have Sudbury lose a game (which won't happen), and have Cheyenne lose as well. Don't count on all that happening.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
7) Nebraska Husker Maniacs 9-3 3
A tough loss to Sudbury puts them in a difficult spot in the east. They currently would not get a home game. They are probably hoping that Cheyenne loses a game, as they hold the tiebraker over Cheyenne at this point. They still have a very tough game remaining against QC, so to have any chance of at least one home game, they'll need to win that and at Manitoba in Week 16.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
8) St. John's Salty Dogs 8-4 8
Has this team come back from the dead or what? 7 wins in a row has them a lock for the playoffs, with two easy games and two tough games remaining (Cheyenne and Thunder). They're looking to make some noise come playoff time.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
9) Saskatchewan Beavers 7-5 9
The win streak comes to an end verse the best team in Canada A6, but they look to get back on track next week vs Winnipeg. That game as well as games against the Thunder and Canadiens will provide stiff challenges.
Odds of making playoffs: 90%
10) Manitoba Icemen 8-4 10
A good victory definitely helps their playoff position as they want to avoid the #8 seed and a game against the Sasquatches as much as possible. With two easy games remaining, and another which they will be favored big time, their last challenge is week 16 vs Nebraska.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
11) Vancouver Vindicators 9-3 11
Although the rest of the schedule looks difficult on paper, the only true remaining tough game is against the Vikings in two weeks. Expect them to win their other games en route to the playoffs.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
12) Hillsburgh Hillbillies 9-3 13
They have a difficult remaining schedule, but two winnable games against Cold Lake and Revelstoke remain. Expect losses to the Vikings next week and Cheyenne in week 16, but they'll make the playoffs.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
13) Red Deer Blue Elk 7-5 14
The problem with the east is that there is only eight really competitive teams, and this is the last of them. They have a two game lead over the #9 seed, Iqaluit, who they also just beat. Expect them to make the playoffs and get beat the 1'st round by the eventual #1 seed.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
14) Calgary Thunder 7-5 12
They have one of the most challenging schedules remaining, with games against the Beavers, Salty Dogs, and ISJ coming up. They will get one more guaranteed victory against Castlegar.
Odds of making playoffs: 9-7
15) Montreal Canadiens 8-4 15
I'd lower them in the rankings if I could, but everyone below them lost. They didn't dominate Barkmere like they should have and constantly get killed by the top teams, Nebraska excluded. Expect a one and done playoffs for them.
Odds of making playoffs: 100%
16) Winnipeg Warriors 5-7 17
They certainly have the ability to make it to the playoffs, but they are too inconsistent. With three very difficult games remaining, don't expect this team to make it to the tournament.
Odds of making playoffs: 10%

Outside looking in:
17) In San Jose Pimpin Aint Easy 5-7 16
Early losses really put this team behind the eight ball. If they had played Cold Lake after they quit their season, they might have a good shot at making the playoffs, but as it stands, don't expect them in.
Odds of making playoffs: 10%
18) Calgary Wrestlers 5-7 18
The underdogs on paper, they will probably lose three out of four of their next games. They'll really need to pull some upsets to make the playoffs.
Odds of making playoffs: 10%
19) Revelstoke Revolution 5-7 20
At least this team has a bit easier schedule. Games against the Wolverines and Smoke are very winnable, although if they make it as the eighth seed they'll be one and done verse the Sasquatches.
Odds of making playoffs: 50%
20) Saskatoon Guerillas 5-7 19
Another 5-7 team in the West that has a VERY difficult schedule. Games against the Icemen, Sasquatches, and Spartans look to be losses and knock them out of contention.
Odds of making playoffs: 10%

Maybe next season:
21) Iqaluit Arctic Wolves 4-8 21
They won't make it to the tourny this season, but they'll contend next season.
Odds of making playoffs: 0%
22) Flint Tropics 5-7 23
They beat the easy teams at least.
Odds of making playoffs: 0%
23) Destruction Bay Dragons 5-7 25
Hey! This team finally beat a mediocre team!
Odds of making playoffs: 0%
24) Cold Lake Wolverines 6-6 22
Although they are the current #8 seed, their chemistry will knock them out of playoff contention.
Odds of making playoffs: 5%
25) Portsmouth Cavaliers 4-8 24
This team looks similar to Flint.
Odds of making playoffs: 0%
26)Toronto Smoke 2-10 26
They got their second W! And now they've got the GM spots settled...watch out next year!
Odds of making playoffs: 0%

Might take a few seasons:
27) Kelowna Outlaws 1-11 27
Losing to the smoke is a sign of a bad team.
Odds of making playoffs: 0%
28) Barkmere Bulldawgs 2-10 28
At least they put up a good fight this past week...well... compared to what they usually do.
Odds of making playoffs: 0%
29) Quebec Boreal 2-10 29
I get bored trying to think up of things to say about this team.
Odds of making playoffs: 0%

Don't count on it while you play this game:
30) Bloodwesier Bugle All Stars 1-11 30
Still basking in the glory of their victory over Petersborough in the game of the century.
Odds of making playoffs: 75%...uhh...right
31) Castlegar Crusaders 0-12 31
Won't win this season.
Odds of making playoffs: 0%
32) Peterborough Preachers 0-12 32
Ditto
Odds of making playoffs: 0%

YES...It's about time they beat someone who was ranked higher than them , last week. Now lets see if they can put a scare into Halifax.

Good work Dan

So, at best, the Salty Dogs could hope for a #5 seed? I don't think it's mathematically possible (because we'll lose all tiebreakers) that we could secure the #4 seed even if we finish tied in the W/L columns. Ugh.

If you had played closer to some other teams, than your wins wouldn't be scrutinized so much. Let your play do your talking, not your mouth.

And FLGator, it's not quite mathematically impossible...you'd just need QC and Cheyenne to lose every remaining game...which is next to impossible. But aside from homefield advantage, #5 and #4 seed doesn't make a lot of difference. You could always hope that you beat #4, then #1 loses to #8 so you host #8 in round two...although I don't think that's particularly likely either.

Or you could hope that NHM loses to Queen City and Manitoba as well as Cheyenne loses to you and either the Canadiens or the Hillbillies. Then you'd need Montreal to lose to Saskatchewan. Then you'd be in. Outside shots, but I would worry about winning out yourselves before I worry about those other teams.

Which energy or AI setting allows you to put in backups when you are up by 14? I GM many teams and have never seen that feature. So either I am missing a critical part of the game planning software, or you are full of crap and being sanctimonious and self-righteous while accusing others of that sin.

Yes you can, but it doesnt always work out the way you intend it. Since energy settings still override everything else, depending on how you have your sub out/in, you'll still have starters getting snaps.
