I am going to try something new this year. I am going to make a ballot for people to choose from. I will make the one for the west if someone else will make the one for the east.

How it will work is you will pick the best player for each position from each team and list them on the ballot. Also list their stats to show people why they are there. I think more people will get involved in the voting process this season if there wasnt so much typing involved.

So, anyone want to take over the duties of making the ballot for the east? If you cant decide between two people, pm the owner of that team and ask who they think should represent that team.

Ill have a "sample" ballot made in a few days so the person who make the east ballot only has to change names and stats to make it look close.

Oh comon, dont everyone from the East offer to do it all at once. We all need to calm down and take turns.

Or you could give them more than 4 hours to respond...

dont you think it would be smart to have someone from their own conference do the ballot from their conference, being as they play most of the teams and get a chance to see the players....whereas the opposite league doesnt see the players in their opposing conference....just my two cents

I dont see the difference really.

You are picking the best player... from each team... at each position. 16 players on the ballot for EVERY position. And like I said, if it is a hard choice, ask the owner of that team. I am hopeing to get the ballots done a few days early so every owner can see them and agree if it represents their team the best.

You should probably qualify what you want otherwise it would be nothing more than the starters on each team (for the most part). Example do you want a nominee for ROT and LOT, or just OT, or just O-Lineman? Same for D-Line? What about CB do you want 2 from each team? Same for WR? Do you want ROLB, MLB, or LOLB or just LB's?

I think it is a very good idea. But if you have 16 players at each position that is 350+ players. I am not sure you would get people to take the time to look through them all.

I would have the owner's nominate the players they want considered for the pro-bowl. Then for the owners that don't respond somone would have to pick for them (we have enough active owners to pick for any owners that don't respond).

I would limit it to this:
Each owner should nominate:
some # of offensive players (4-6?)
some # of defensive players (4-6?)

that would limit the player pool to 128 - 192 players which still may be too many.

The issue with that is that we may get some postions over nominated and others not nominated. Maybe have a committe (one rep from each team that wants to participate in the committee....may only be 3 or 4 teams) that will take the results and make any adjustments for anything weird (like if no one from a position was nominated or the only one nominated is obviously not the best at that position)

Of course these are only suggestions. And since you are the one putting in the time it will be up to you on how the process works.

I can tell you that whatever the process is Thunderbay will participate.

+1

I know it sounded like it would just be a list of starters when it was said to just pick 16. Honestly I don't see how it would work any other way then.

But whatever gets worked out, the Spitfires will take part in as well.

Well, when I go to nfl.com to vote on the pro bowl every year, I see AT LEAST one rep from every team. That is why I had that idea. I love your idea, but that is something we would need to set up EARLY next season. This season would be too late to get all of that together. So if the east will be too many players to type up for anyone, ill try to get it done. But I say we implement your idea early next season.

For those of you who wish to PM me with your pick for the best players from each position on your team, that would help alot. Include the stats so i dont have to search for them. If you dont feel like it, that is fine.

It is not too late to do this. OTher leagues usually start voting after week 15 and close by the first game of the playoffs. This gives everyone a chance to play every team in their confrence and give owners a few days to make suggestions.

You should as well run it for 1 QB, 1 HB, 1 FB, 2 OT, 2 OG, 1 C, 3 WR, 1 TE. 2 DT, 2 DE, 3 LB, 1 SS, 1 FS, 3 CB. 1 Returner, 1 Kicker, 1 Punter

Maybe even have a second team comprised of the same amount of people.

Hey Fixxer I am working on the list for Thunder Bay. However, you never did qualify what you meant by one at each position. What about the lineman, CB, LB, and WR. Do we choose CB1 and CB2. Same with WR. Do we choose LOT and a ROT or just one OT? Same with OLB?

Just 1 cb, 1 LB, 1 DE. Like that. In the voting, you will choose multiple players, they will just all be from different teams.
