MattMan Firespot and I have been working out details for an A6 Pro Bowl team. Here's what we've come up with...

Each team owner (or designate) will nominate 3 offensive players and 3 defensive players plus one Wildcard (either side of the ball) to the Pro Bowl ballot. Nominations need to be sent to MattMan Firespot (Western Conference) or AirMcMVP (Eastern Conference) by Day 28 (August 29) to be included in the ballot. If there aren't at least 5 players at a give position, we'll ask owners for additional nominees.

We will compile the ballots and send them to team owners (or their designate) by the start of the playoffs. We will ask for completed ballots to be submitted by Day 38 (Conference Championship Game).

If I missed anything (or messed anything up) MattMan Firespot will chime in.

When referring to position, are you talking about general position (LB) or specific (MLB, OLB, LILB, etc)? I assume the former.

Specifics. We will nominate players for their specific positions so we can create an All-Star lineup. (East & West)

You got it all Air, the sooner owners can get these ballots in, the better. We need you guys to take a few minutes and come up with those players as soon as you can.

You want them ASAP...then we need to tell everybody to send them now...the post says we have till August 29th.

We have 3 games between then and now so teams top picks may or may not change..doubtful, but you never know.

But after the Horde played the Shockers they had 30 PRO BOWLERS on their team...just look at the stats.. fucking disgusting.

If a team is wondering about who to nominate, sure, wait until the 29th. The sooner we get most nominations in, though, the sooner we can send out requests for positions that will be short players.

I have a feeling most teams know who they'll be nominating.

I sent mine in to MattMan, my guys are pretty much set.

So are we sending who we think are pro bowlers from our own teams, or in the league?

What about all the special teams guys (kicker, punter, kick/punt returner, etc.)? How do they fit into the Pro Bowl selection? Technically, there could even be Pro Bowl spots for long snapper and special teamer, although I'm not expecting us to go that far with this.

Your team. Basically, this is the nomination portion of the process. Once we have nominations from all owners, we'll send ballots out.

ST is a sticky area. The goal was to limit the number of players we had on the ballot. Punters and kickers, as well as returners, would have really made the "ballot" cumbersome. As it stands, I expect we'll be asking for extra nominees at several positions before we can send out ballots.

OK. I needed to check, since Lizard Lick is loaded with special teams Pro Bowl candidates, given that our kicker, punter, and punt returner all lead the Eastern Conference at those spots, and I didn't want to see these players get left out of the voting just because it's special teams.

I don't know how MattMan feels about it, but I have no problem with including roster spots for any of those positions. That could be a "write in" type request though (especially for K and P) since each team only carries one.

In fact...

For the East (and MattMan can request the same for the West), make your wild card choice a ST choice. Returner, long snapper, gunner...whatever. If you choose a player with a less obvious stat (ie, not a returner) try to point out why that person belongs on the Pro Bowl team (25 ST tackles, 2 KR TDs, or something like that) and I'll include that on the ballot.
