I'd be curious as to who team MVPs would be. Personally, it would be alot easier for me to name an MVP from my own team than a Pro Bowl list from all the teams.

I also think it might help with player name recognition in league play anybody interested in this idea?

O and D MVP?

Could be a cool thing for each team to nominate their own just for the hell of it.

Bushy Park Badgers

Offense

I'd like to give mentions to both our QBs since we seem to be somewhat unintentionally operating a successful dual QB system, despite having one guy vastly outlevelled by most of the league. Our L16 backup has thrown for 1400+ yards, 7 TDs, 2 picks, cmpleting 69.8% of his passes at 7.4 yards per attempt. The latter of those stats either lead the conference or are 2nd. Impressive for a L16 QB.

Our starter has thrown for over 1700 yards, completing 66% of his passes, throwing 18 TD passes and only 5 picks, really stepping up his game this year and is the major reason why the Badgers have the league's top ranked passing offense.

Offensive MVP - QB - Cash Money

Defense

Lot of worthy candidates here, but i'm going to nominate our everything-man. From his MLB spot he's recorded a stat in every major defensive category for the Badgers, and this despite having a slight down period by his own high standards.

Defensive MVP - MLB - Dennis Mack

We actually have our own team thread goin on with the team mvp bein calculated based on how many game mvps they have recieved (Ecrana announces those), so, as it stands atm.

PGL Gamers

Offense: Durn Reaper - 108 att, 1025.5 yds, 21 tds

Defense is a tie atm:

JD Ellis - 48 tkl, 1 int, 101 int yds, 1 int td
Jay Figs - 49 tkl, 4 int, 58 int yds, 1 int td, 27.6 kr avg, 13.5 pr avg

Anyone on my team can feel free to nominate in disagreement with me, but I'm gonna go with...

Inverness Highlanders

RB Frank Castle aka The Punisher -- 11 games, 182 rushes 1149, 16 TDs. He'd probably have a lot more yards if he weren't splitting time with two other backs (including mine). He's a power back who's broken 93 tackles so far, which makes my elusive back drool with envy.

CB Ryan Borden -- 27 PDs, 4 Ints 59yds. This is a tough one, b/c like many teams (it seems) the defense is more an ensemble unit. DT Kevin Krew was close thanks to the pressure he puts on QBs (22 hurries).

I can understand your point of view, but at the same time I would say that it's more a bit of fun than anything. Cash and Dennis are worthy picks for the Badgers, but I can assure you there are a lot of players who are worthy of nomination.

I'd hope any Badger who will read ST's nomination will say to themselves not "I can't believe I wasn't picked", but "I am so going to make sure I get picked next time".

Aye, and we've had most of our players either earn player of the game awards or honourable mentions, so I think the Badgers know full well I think this is a hell of a team effort this season.

Wolverhampton Wolves

Offense: Jordan TPG

Defense: Close between Bobby Buche and Jack Wylde but Bobby Buche is our Defense MVP.

GM: Union Jack Jensen - been with this team since the start and gives a lot of effort to the team. i would also like to give JMAC08 our Head Coach a mention. He has helped a lot and is a active member of our organisation.

Team MVP - Jordan TPG

Ditto, Ampersand. All just for fun.

I'd like to add a RB won't put up great yards without a good line (FB and TE included), a good passing game to keep the defense from selling out on the run, as well as good gameplanning from the coaching staff. GLB is a team game, and with just about any player (including these unofficial 'MVP' nominees), a great team is what makes an individual player great.

Dublin will join Bordeaux and also respectfully decline.

If you go by stats alone then it's not too hard to vote a MVP but most good teams will not have just one player putting up good numbers.

Birmingham will also respectfully decline as EVERY player on the team deserves MVP and NO player is above the other. We WIN as a TEAM and we LOSE as a TEAM. To quote a paraphrase Tom Hanks in the movie - A League Of Their Own, "There's NO Crying In Football!"
