No I know there is a reduction in abilities but it is nowhere near that drastic..

Yes. The reduction is that drastic. The one game that this happened to me with made me laugh, because my players haven't looked that slow and sucky since sometime in season 2.

I can't find the post that states what kind of deduction takes place. I highly doubt that there would be an 80% deduction once you are ahead by a certain amount

Yep Still Can't find it, Anybody know where it is?

I don't know that Bort ever said exactly how much of a nerf he'd hit the leading team with, but if the goal was to keep scored from getting too out of hand, I could see an 80%, if necessary.

In this case, I'd guess the players were of pretty equal ability.
