OH HELLS YEAH. Who went a perfect 16-0 last week? HUH? Speak up, I can't hear you!! Yeah, that's right, I was a beast picking games last week going 16-0 and I'm now 127-17 (88.2%) for the season.


GAME OF THE WEEK ~ This week's GotW is a 2 for 1 special :

Grodno Titans vs Budapest Buddhas

First up in the GotW 2 for 1 special is The Grodno Titans hits the road to Budapest to face The Buddahs. Grodno (5-4) is a team that really came to life as the season started rolling. They hit a little snag as they lost to the top 2 teams in the league, but came back last week with a solid win. Budapest (4-5) is a team that can't find a streak either way, as the alternate each week losing and winning. After a disappointing loss to the #2 team in Alpha last week, they should be fired up for this one. This game has huge playoff tiebreaker implications as this head-to-head matchup could decide who is going to the playoffs and who is hitting the links early. Grodno is a slightly better team and I expect them to handle this one pretty easily.

Lisbon Crows vs Kharkiv Thrashers

The GotW's Black to the Tan, puts Lisbon on the road and headed into Kharkiv to face The Thrashers. The Crows enter the game 8-1 and tied for third place with The Meat Whistles. They have played some great football and win in convincing fashion, and their only blemish was against The Stackers in Week 4. The Thrashers come into the game at 6-3, but don't let their record fool you. They are one of the better teams in Alpha and could beat any team on any given day, as they have already proved this season. Last week, they barely lost a tough game to The Meat Whistles and look poised to redeem themselves. At first, I thought The Crows would handle this game easily, but The Thrashers have been a tough team to put away with their great run game. I think The Crows are just a bit stronger though and will take this one.

Please don't take this as an insult, but you guys seem a little overly confident every week. Playing this little game doesn't mean anything but :

You lost to Marauders 20-7 and they lost to the Natives 28-10
You lost to the Pythons 24-21 and they lost to the Natives 42-10

You could end up winning it (league projector has you losing 28-27) but I'm expecting them to win it a little more than that. Of course, since we're tied for second place, I won't be upset one bit if you do win

Check our scrimmage games champ, we replayed the Marauders, and won...

Not to mention that I didn't get the DC job until week 3 (5-2 since)...

I can't wait to see the result of the Crows Thrashers game. I want to see how different they appoach the game than we did. We won cause of our D. We gave him his lowest rushing total of the season but his pass rush was rediculous which kept him in the game.

Damn, so close. We made a lot of adjustments for this game and tried some new stuff, but couldn't quite get it done. And only 2 sacks. Ah well, as they say; "I'll get you next time, Gadget. Next time!"

Isotopes > Natives

Hmm, so we're 5-5, but the league projector has the Loyalists as finishing at 5-11

I guess our last 6 games of the year are really tough. I just want us to make the playoffs, I'll settle for getting blow out in the first round by a 1 or 2 seed.
