Warrior General Games

We are going to lay this on you all now so there are no surprises.

We made the Windsor team on week 8 of Season 1. Like most of you we had no idea how fun the game would be and we had no clue how to make a character. We had some good fun "role-playing" our toons and trash talking. We had some success (7-2, 15-1 and 11-5) and we really enjoyed the competition.

We've come to the realization that we didn't really build our characters right on Windsor. We've out leveled this league since we've been in it but never had the degree of success that we should have. We are MMO veterans and fully understand what it means to "re-roll", especially in a beta.

The Windsor Warriors will be "re-rolling" starting day one of season five. We will not be a "gutted" team that has no hope. We will be an easy win for a couple of seasons and then we'll be back for blood. Beer Town will remain intact as we feel that our builds are far superior (though far from perfect) than Windsor. We will rename Windsor to our guild name, The Purple Dragons. (www.purpledragons.net)


I know we've been yelling the loudest about gutted teams and how they ruin the integrity of the league but I hope you can see how this is different. This is a legitimate rebuild of an existing team. We will be competitive again in short order.

We will be playing out this season with the intention to go deep into the playoffs and win a title. I know there are some outstanding teams in our way but we will not be rolling over for anyone. Next season we will do our best to win every time we are on the field. I don't expect to win any games but one can hope.

Most if not all players on the current Windsor team will retire.

As for us being pathetic, no. It is the smart and right thing to do.

They will all be retired and remade. No players from Windsor will be going to BTB.

We are some of the strongest believers that the community will make and destroy this game. And while we don't like to be added to the list of teams that are "gutting", we are certainly not going to add to the list of teams colluding.

In addition, like it or not, we did ask for some assistance with the game developers to relocated our team - once gutted - to a BBB league. If DD or Bort decide to help out by doing that, then great. My bet is they won't and the East will have at least 1 easy win on their schedule next season.

The bottom line though, is we're in this for the long haul. We feel that our best chance of winning long term is with BTB, and are therefore going to plan for when BTB players begin to decline. When BTB hits Season 10, we will probably do the same thing with them.

Our point in announcing this was not to open it up for discussion, but to keep you all aware of our intentions so you don't cry shenanigans. How you choose to take it will be up to you as individuals to decide. If you choose to bitch and whine about it, do so. But you already know what sort of reply you will get out of me, if you have been in A2 for any extended period of time.

On a side note, we have been asking for a complete player respec for months.

The development staff has been uncooperative with that request, and all the while, they constantly change major aspects of the game without explaining exactly how the changes will affect the outcome of the simulations.

If you don't like our adaptation to the current state of the game, go to a public forum and complain about it.

Doing it here is preaching to the choir.

Have you considered re-doing your equipment to fix your player builds? You guys have tons of cash to do it.

As long as no Windsor players are sent to BTB, I have no problem with this. We'll be long gone before you guys are competitive again.

We actually did that already and while it is a short term fix we are really wanting to rebuild Windsor.

Beer Town will remain intact.

It really comes down to the MMO mindset that we have. If you don't like your character, roll a new one. We considered buying a new team and doing it that way but decided not to. We like the competition in USA and think we can be competitive in two to three seasons with the right builds.

I can guarantee you that NO Windsor players will end up on Beer Town. We are retiring them to get our 70% FP back.
