Power Rankings and Predictions - Week 8 - Eastern Conference

This is my interpretation. I wanted to see weekly rankings, so I’ll give my own go at it. Go ahead and bitch at it until your blue in the face. I'll be using Padre97's old rankings as the high/low

1. Flappin' Heads (7-0)
Previous: N/A High: 1 Low: 3
Next: vs Triple B’s
Notes: Have proven again and again that they’re the best. Now, Battle of the undefeateds. I think the Flappin passing game is too good for Triple B here, and they win by 10.

2. Triple B's 13th Cadre (7-0)
Previous: N/A High: 2 Low: 6
Next: @ Flappin Heads
Notes: Good team, more rushing oriented than Flappin. If Triple B’s wants to keep it close, they need to find 1 weakness and exploit it. Otherwise they won’t score enough points to stay in it. They lose by 10.

3. Quebec City Chiefs (6-1)
Previous: N/A High: 1 Low: 3
Next: @ St. Catherine’s
Notes: Their passing game will reek havoc against an inferior St. Catherine’s Defense. QCC by 50.

4. St. John's Fog Devils (6-1)
Previous: N/A High: 4 Low: 11
Next: @ Manitoba
Notes: Not an elite team quite yet, but better than most of the average teams. The Offense will power a win over Manitoba’s defense. St. John’s by 14

5. Eastside Eagles (5-2)
Previous: N/A High: 2 Low: 5
Next: @ Great Lakes
Notes: Group of guys who have proved to underachieved in only 2 games this season. Still to be considered a great team if their offense matches the play of their dominant defense. They win, but its closer than it should be. Eastside by 7.

6. Regina Pounders (6-1)
Previous: N/A High: 4 Low: 6
Next: vs Alberta
Notes:An interesting team that lost their only challenge of the year. Will be interesting to see how they perform in the 2nd half vs better opponents. Upcoming game should prove to be a fairly easy win against the 1-dimentional Avengers. Regina by 35.

7. Tim Tebow Sucks (4-3)
Previous: N/A High: 7 Low: 14
Next: vs Thunder Bay
Notes: Team that proves that they can at least hang in there and not get blown out. They’ll have to win this game, it would be a killer to lose this going into their next 2 tough games. Prediction: 3 point win.

8. Thunder Bay Hitmen (5-2)
Previous: N/A High: 5 Low: 10
Next: @ Tim Tebow
Notes: Hitmen round the top 8 out, in a conference with very little middle ground, they seem to be the tail end of playoff-contenders. Playing a tough Tebow team, which I think edges them out by 3 points in a very close game.

9. Manitoba Manatees (2-5)
Previous: N/A High: 6 Low: 9
Next: vs St. John’s
Notes: A team that is better than their record. Their defense will keep them in the game for the first half, but their offense won’t score enough to win. A few St John’s scores late will be cause for a loss by 14.

10. Great Lakes Rum Runners (2-5)
Previous: N/A High: 10 Low: 15
Next: vs Eastside
Notes: Chemistry is a good thing, but its not the only thing. They need a few players to step up and make plays. They have a chance for the upset in this game, but I think a better eastside team pulls ahead in the end by a TD.

11. Mystery Alaskans (1-6)
Previous: N/A High: 10 Low: 13
Next: @ Quebec Eagles
Notes: In a battle to savor mediocrity, the Alaskans will put up enough to win. M.A. by 7

12. Quebec Eagles (2-5)
Previous: N/A High: 12 Low: 15
Next: vs Mystery
Notes: Best of the worst… they have a balanced offensive attack, but is that a good thing? Loss by 7.

13. Port Dover Panthers (1-6)
Previous: N/A High: 7 Low: 13
Next: @ Shqiperia
Notes: Underachieving offense + bad defense = #13. Game against Shqiperia should prove to extend the win streak to 2 though. Port dover by 24.

14. Alberta Avengers (2-5)
Previous: N/A High: 7 Low: 14
Next: @ Regina
Notes: Should be fairly easy to shut down in the away game vs Regina. Their defense isn’t going to stop much. Alberta loses by 35.

15. Shqiperia Shqiperia (0-7)
Previous: N/A High: 13 Low: 15
Next: vs Port Dover
Notes: Everybody seems to have a good game against the name that’s hard to type and even harder to pronounce. They’ll lose to a fairly bad team by a lot. 24 point loss.

16. St. Catharines Stompers (0-7)
Previous: N/A High: 16 Low: 16
Next: vs Quebec City Chiefs
Notes: Can’t be an underachiever if expectations were low to begin with, right? Very tough game this week. 50 point loss.

glad we like it...i dont see any complaining yet tho, so i guess i wasn't controversial enough

i'll keep track of my predictions in the following week's post.

I think it's an outrage, the Unsavory Gentlemen aren't even on the list! Add us immediately!
