Warrior General Games

I've had a hellacious week and finally can sit down and have some fun doing these. Week 7 features a matchup of Congo versus Gunston in two of the top teams record-wise in the Elephant Conference.

Ethiopian Food Mongers vs. Freetown Jayhawks
Neither team has started off too hot with a 2-4 record. Freetown has played some tight games with better competition but hasn't pulled off any huge upsets. Freetown's competitiveness and chemistry should help them take this game.

Casablanca Golden Eagles vs. Algeria Dune Hoppers
I have a feeling this is going to be a closer game than most people would initially expect. Algeria's bringing on some more brains (lord knows that isn't saying much) to help out with their planning and I expect some payoff with some points. I expect Casablanca to take this matchup though.

Gunston Drunks vs. Congo Cripplers
While much of the league hasn't agreed with Congo's approach to this season, it should pay off in this game of two undefeateds. Congo picked up another high level player or two recently and just continue to try and load up for a run at an undefeated season. Sorry Gunston, but your schedule this far doesn't help you here.

Nigeria Warriors vs. P-Town Ballaz
I'm going to have to pick P-Town in this one based off of scores in their respective games so far.

Ethiopia Hungry Hungry Hippos vs. Madagascar Grand JagerMenze
The Hippos pulled off a win against P-Town last week, but Madagascar is looking to bust their 4 game losing streak and I think they can pull it off. If linebackers Harry and Spence can help to contain running back Dean, it should be a long day for the Hippos.

Cairo Mummy Warriors vs. Luxor Pharaoh Kings
Luxor has looked pretty good so far posting a 4-2 record, their wins have come against the bottom teams in the conference. Cairo's looked shaky in going 3-3 so far, but I expect them to get back into the +.500 realm after beating Luxor.

Egypt Dragons vs. Carthage Mercenaries
Egypt finally gets into some competition after going 6-0 and putting up solid numbers. Unfortunately for Carthage, they're having a rocky season thus far and lost a few games they could have pulled off. I really think that this game will ultimately come down to game planning and Egypt hasn't had all that much to prepare for this season up until now. With all due respect to the Dragons record so far and how much the numbers are against me, I'm picking this game as my upset special. Go get'em Carthage.

Picked to win by the program but lose by the human element. While I trust human minds more than computer minds, I gotta say with the cheap shot ya took on us and the planning we've been doing to try and turn things around...and with the risk of putting foot in mouth...I think the Dunes have a serious shot at this one.

what program you talking about?....those are my personal thoughts not a program, on the point spreads.

I still don't understand whats so wrong with what congo is doing? They recruited tons of good players during the offseason, and more during the season. We havn't done anything against the rules. People are just mad that they couldn't do what we have, and if they had a chance to recruit these players you know full well you would have. Get over it guys.

Oh, people could have done what you guys did recruiting. I have no doubt I could have brought in a bunch of high level people, I'm not a bad recruiter by any standard. However, I'm more loyal to my players than to gut a team after a winning season (regardless of 15-1 or 9-7). I think that's the part that digs on most people. I guess I look at owning my team as more than a business. It's a place for my guys to have fun. Of course you can claim loyalty to players now with outleveling the competition.

That's my personal opinion on the matter. Nothing more.

Thanks for the love but Egypt is a different team this season. Sniper and Crew have done a better job of gameplanning this season and are more balanced. I would be freaking ecstatic if we won this one. We really need to get some wins if we want a shot at the playoffs.

How did we gut the team? And if we did gut a team go tell bort then see what he has to say.

Nice Pike, maybe you should rename the Cleveland Bombers to Cleveland and the Fun Bunch! Chaos, I have learned not even to worry about the nonsense that comes from this forum. Anybody on my team from day one knows that I have one goal, get to the Africa Pro League as quickly as possible. I will apologize to nobody for making my team better by recruiting quality agents and players. This is getting old!

Exactly thats many of our players goal too, its just annoying that people will bash us for having a good season, and doing nothing illeagal to get there.

What you did is not illegal. You are correct in that aspect. But you did ditch a bunch of your players and agents from last season to bring in your "friends" this season. Once again, not illegal but wrong. If I was playing on your team last season I would be pissed and If I was one of your friends on your team now I wouldn't trust that I would be in your future plans.

He asked and I shared my own opinion. You have your approach, I have mine - it doesn't mean we have to agree. You've always been another owner who's been good to converse with, rj. It's nothing personal, we just have different methods. I just see it as the easy way out.

It's cool Pike, just getting tired of people questioning my tactics. What I think is people should stop worrying about my team and worry about how to make themselves better. AJD who exactly did I ditch from my team? Was it all the players on One Season Day 40 contracts who chose not to resign? At least base a post on something factual because you have no clue. As a GM of the Fun Bunch, your time would be better spent on figuring out how to beat us in the event there is a rematch. All these foolish posts, don't you think your time can be better spent? As far as being friends, I don't hang with whiners...

He's only a GM in name because I was helping him set up his defensive tactics on his team. So, it might be good to get your facts straight, too.
