Warrior General Games

Hi all!
I have 2 players who currently play for the Wasington Cowboys, and i have recently had a bit of a fued with the owner, please dont get me wrong i am not trying to say dont join this team etc, im sure the owner is a decent guy, but i was wondering who/if any teams allow there players to have a say in how things were run? Because in our team there was NO gameplanning, no posts from the owner or GM's, one GM hasnt even come into contact with any of the players and the only thing that was posted was about how we kept losing! There was about 15 posts in that forum over 3weeks or so and no one replied, not even the owner so i decided to run my mouth a little, complaining about gameplans, ownership, GM's etc and i was wondering if any team round here was also as strict as this owner, i am now off the depth chart and am banned from there forum, any ideas?

Please dont look at this as when players get banned for been idiots and then they expect everything to go there way and when it doesnt they make an awful post about the owner/GM's etc, i am not like that as i said im sure the owners and GM's are decent guys but when i pay money to play and cant have a say in how my team is run, it is fustrating Lol

Honestly, sounds like the team isn't run the best, but you should not run your mouth...

if i were you, a polite message asking to be traded/released would be smart. offer to help find a trading team

You have the right to complain if the owners and GMs don't appear to be doing anything. Hopefully you did it in a tactful manner. If so, dropping you off the depth chart isn't cool if you were trying to help.

I even offered to be DC? to improve the team and now he wont release me or anything but oh well i ran my mouth and i suppose i got what i deserved, wasnt very fair though considering i was attempting to help the team

Complete removal from the depth chart is a chicken shit move except in the most extreme of cases, imo. Now if you were threatening to play on relaxed and train on hard and set tactics messed up or something, that's different, in that case, I'd bench you faster than you can type "sorry". But if you're being a dick on the forums, then ban from the forums. Period.

My guess is that even though you seem level headed here, you probably said some pretty shitty stuff on the team forums, so he likely has every right to be pissed. But removing you from the depth chart is low and shows zero class. Word travels about owners like that.

I had an owner like that last season. He brought in a "outside consultant" to talk to us about our player builds and that consultant -- whether he knew a lot or not -- was a total dick. (all the discussion was in the forums). So I called him out on it and told him we players didn't want his help if he was going to be an ass about it, so my owner pulled me off the depth chart for the rest of the season. Total moron.

Then i started talking about winning mentality, how we had none and the amount of effort the owner put in, so yeah i shouted his name out a bit but i wasnt swearing and certainly wasnt attempting to have a go to badly i just wanted a turn around then he went on about how i should have spoken to him first which is fair play i probly should, but anyway i will just have to sit out the season whilst he watches his team get beaten badly every game lol Lost 60-3 today i think, its a joke...

Out of interest do you happen to this consultants name? We had a similar issue on a team. (NOT the spiders BTW )

Sure, I'll scream his name to high heavens because, let me tell you, he was a class-A dick. Acted like he created the game. He was Randy03Ags or something like that. To his credit and defense, he does have one of the best teams in the Eastern Europe Pro League (Prague Punishers, I believe) but the guy feels his shit doesn't stink.

His advice really worked out well. I looked at that team I was on and they've only won two games this season! :-)

Well, PMs come to mind. But remember, this game (at least in some respects) mimics real life. If an owner wants to cut off his nose to spite his face, he can.

I let people do whatever they want, it's their team after all And hell, with my busy schedule the more input the merrier.

And yes, it will cause us to lose some games, but I want everyone to have a good time in the game rather than just get on every other day to check their status.

What he said. After all, if the owner and players are all working to get better and playing time is spread round much as possible, everybody will enjoy the game more. And probably be more active.

Sounds like the owner's a douche. It's his loss though, since it will probably hurt his chances of signing good players next off-season.

I gotta agree with RedTrek03 here. Let the players play! Let them enjoy the game! That's what we're all here for! Sure I want to win, but if everyone's happy, I'd be glad just as long as we don't get relegated to a lower league. I've delegated allot of responsibility, and I'm comfortable with that too. The only thing I'm disappointed with right now is the apparent lack of lazy meaningless comments. I want people to communicate, even if it's just to say something totally off topic. I can't see myself taking a player off the depth chart or banning someone from the forum, unless something really, really, really, nasty stuff has been going on. Let's not forget that behind the nice little avatar is another human being sitting at his or her keyboard trying to enjoy the game same as you.

This player was a cancer, The gms and owners are just as active as any other team i've ever been in. I wrote a post asking for patience, and thanked everyone for the patience they were showing. This player however has complained about playing time, and then went off and mouthed off about the team in a open forum. I asked him if he had any complaints he should speak directly to the management but instead he mocked it in the team forum, and then proceeded to post sarcastic and childish things on the board, which i had to delete and promptly ban him from the forum. I had warned him that there would be disciplinary action if it continued, and he did not listen. What else would a different gm have done?
