1. WYW - DOMINANT win in the game of the week, setting up a second straight game of the week. There should be no question who has the best D in the league, and everybody knows what wins championships.
2. Irish - rebounded from lackluster win to roll up almost 600 rush yards in trouncing the hapless Lions. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can get done against WYW.
3. Rome - just couldn't get anything going against WYW. Heading to Amsterdam & their league-worst pass D will help heal those wounds.
4. Brussels - won 5 straight & passing game appears to be coming around. Should be at 7 in a row when the Punks come to town week 9.
5. Boston - gave our special teams guys lots of PT, which is appreciated. Will the league's best passing attack be intimidated by the unfriendly confines of the Icehouse?
6. Newcastle - 4 in a row & similarly to the other Raiders, have no real tests til a week 9 game w/ WYW.
7. Danzig - good balance to this team & they're on a roll although WYW looms; looking good to make the playoffs.
8. Dusseldorf - upset the Penguins with some solid D (including a safety) to jump up 3 spots, but entering a brutal 4 game stretch.
9. Stockholm - mystifying logo & mystifying loss. Still possess a solid D & passing game. Also hitting a tough portion of their schedule.
10. Plainview - their free fall keeps on keepin on. Luckily Cologne is on deck.
11. AFD - can't stop the pass, can't tackle anybody. Ugh. Frustrating season continues.
12. Portugal - remain here by being first team in this tier to get a win & because they only allowed 13 points to Cologne.
13. Donegal - finally get their first regular season win but 34 points allowed, to Cologne no less, is not good.
14. Dublin - looking forward to getting their first W this week. Throwing for a ton of yards, but pass D giving it right back.
15. Mokum - have now claimed title as league's worst rush D.
16. Cologne - no comment.
