I am confused. I consistently get less pancakes than another RT on my team despite having a higher strength, blocking and pancake skill. The other player isn't mine so I can't show his stats but I was wondering if anyone had any guesses as why? I always play on hard so I am getting the biggest bonus possible. He normally is the backup, could it be that he is going against weaker a/o more tired defenders?

Same thing happens with me, and that's the only answer that made any sense.
But, I do block better than him, so the Pancake stats don't really bother me.

Also if he is on special teams and you aren't he will be up against some low-level safeties and CBs with low strength. Several pancakes happen here.
Don't worry about it though, there's more to blocking than pancaking, and many owners despair when they see a guard with a ton of points in the pancake special ability and nothing else.

I know they are overrated. I wouldn't worry about them at all but I am being judged to be the less effective OT since I get less pancakes.

Whoever is judging you on pancakes is an idiot.

nope, we have the same. This game I was backup but still had less. This is really bugging the heck out of me.

13 vs 20 really isn't enough to be anything but luck probably. If he had like 50 more than you I think it would be more of an issue.

It could have something to do with your advanced tactic setting for blocking. In the short time that I have had O-linemen, I've noticed a lot more pancakes when blocking focus is set to Run. The other guy might have noticed this too and he has his focus set to Run all the time.

It might just be pure luck, he might be pancaking LBs while your blocking DEs/DTs, he could also be getting his pancakes on STs.

Dude, read my post where I said "I know they are overrated". Unfortunately though they are the only visible stat so we often get judged by them. And also I just find it plain confusing that I am getting less and am trying to figure out why.
But thank you for your excellent advice, it will be very helpfull.
