Its a scrimmage game, but I figured it might make some good off-gameday chatter for the board.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=768&team2=786

both teams are playing it straight up (no funky tactics) and we should get a good read on our teams before we both hit a rough patch in our schedules. Since both teams are playing this game as a tuneup, doubt we'll see any major change in tactics or new secret weapons.

What do you think will happen? I'm not real sure, but its a great test for us - the Sphere are a great team and it will be interesting to see if we can stop that rushing attack or penetrate that monster d-line of theirs. And thats not ignoring Plunkett's 70% completion rate or a stiff secondary..

I'll give you 1000 FPs if you manage to break Iowa's leg...

I kid, I kid.

I see DC Warriors giving the Sphere a lesson in humility. look for the Sphere running game to fail them. Look for DC to light the sphere up through the air.

I dont need to give a score as long as everyone understands, I pick the east team to win.

I don't much buy into the whole West would destroy the East stuff, but you have to admit that your conference is essentially the 2 giants and the 14 dwarves.

That said, DC has got to be the favorite to win it all this season.

hmmm, looks like DC can come out on top as long whether we win or lose as long we "Tonya Harding" Iowa Jones. Of course that still leaves Grezbor Quam on the roster...

absolutely. We haven't met since Season 2 and Sphere won both of those scrimmages.

DC arent locks to win the whole thing, but I definately like them against the Sphere at this moment in the season. I also think the Eas as a whole is a better league than the West, but the West has the better top dawgs.

I don't know much about the West, but right now it does appear that there is a bigger spread for the top tier of teams.

As for the East, it does currently appear to be DC (however, we haven't proven sh*t yet) and Carolina in the top 2, but I wouldn't be surprised if Orlando, the Rock Stars, or both make a run for it as they've improved a lot since Season 3. After the next few weeks, I was thinking of seperating my power rankings into Tiers - try and give a better overall picture of the league strength. I do think that Carolina is still the favorite - we'll have to wait till week 15 though.

DC are definitely not locks to win it - they're a lot of great teams out there we have to get through and we have to avoid the whole conference championship game choke artist act we've been pulling for 3 season

As for the top dawgs - I think one could argue for 5 in the West today, but only 2 in the East today thanks to NY and Care Bears apparently taking a step backwards. Orlando and the Rock Stars may have something to say about that however...

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I think we (Orlando) have a chance to make a little noise this season. No denying DC and Carolina are probably the best 2 teams in the East, but their are some other good teams in the East as well.

There are definitely some solid teams after DC and Carolina, so perhaps you can prove my initial proposition wrong. It just seems as though DC and Carolina have a decided advantage that they wouldn't necessarily have if they were in the Western Conf.

Overall, I agree with the sentiment that East is generally a more competitive conference in terms of ranks 3-16.

A team to watch out for:

The Rock Star ain't no joke. Don't take him lightly.
