It's tough to say. Both are brutal at the top, with a lot of cupcakes at the bottom. Last season I probably would have said Alpha, on the grounds that they were roughly even at the top and Zeta had more cupcakes. This season, it looks like Zeta's got an edge so far. If the U Canes hadn't been gutted, it would be a much bigger edge.

I agree. What I like about this league is, with the exception of gutted teams, every week is competitive as hell.
agreed - was tough to leave behind some friendships in AAA#2, but the competition up here week-to-week is amazing and we're happy to be a part of it. Hopefully my own team can join it in a few seasons as well

Melbourne looks like they are already there Scace. Good luck in the playoffs in aaa.
Well, I think it is still kinda hard to say with some unexpected results on both sides. Last season I thought NEBP lost more games than I expected, and this season I expected the Gods to have 1-2 more wins than they currently have.
I would say that for the top 6-8 teams in both conferences we are still fairly even overall.

I am still pulling for some teams in AAA#1 to make their way up here so that we can face them again (ahem...Sth Queensland Crushers). There are some very good teams in AAA.

I just ran a Matchup Machine report on three hypothetical contests to decide the answer to this question
Green Bay (1-8 Alpha) beats Jakarta (1-8 Zeta) by 6 points. Dogdandy (0-9 Alpha) beats Australian (0-9 Zeta) by 11 points. Aussie (1-8 Alpha) beats Westpac (0-9 Zeta) by 39 points.
So, that pretty much sums it up. Alpha crap beats Zeta crap 3 out of 3 times.
