Week 6 - Eastern Europe AA#4 Power Rankings *Official*

It was a crazy week this week, with one of the mighty teams of Zeta conference, falling. Subsequently, the sponsors also took this week off, as apparently, not one person tuned in to watch any of the games on television. Of course, when I told them none of the games are broadcasted because it's not real football, they didn't believe me.

Moontayles disclaimer:
None of these rankings are done by 'feel' or 'intuition'. I use straight up math and when Excel is done sorting them, that's how I rank them. It's as fair as I can mathematically make it (except in the case of LBT, where i just input any numbers that look good and make their ranking go up). If you have any questions or comments feel free to mail me.

So, without further adieu, here are your week 6 OFFICIAL Eastern Europe AA#4 power rankings.

Power Rankings:

1) Krakow Cows (6-0) Last Week (LW) - UC (41.42)
Once again, Krakow stays atop the standings with a very convincing win over Leicester. I think they've moved their furniture into the 1 spot at this point. Getting pretty comfortable. However, they have their first test of the season, as the young upstarts from Moscow (ID, not RUS) head into the milking parlour looking to show EEAA4 they are for real. This has all the markings of a great football game.
Last Game at Leicester Lynxes, W 62-0
Next Game vs. Moscow Vandals

2) St. Petersburg Storm (6-0) LW - UC (32.75)
That furniture isn't going to stay there long, If St. Pete has anything to say about it. Riding an 8 game winning streak, and playing the best football of the franchise's career, St. Pete has to now be the odds on favorite to win the Zeta conference. Once again, the defense was dominant in this last route of Carluke. These guys are for real, and deserve to be in the top 2 teams in the league.
Last Game at Carluke, W 31-7
Next Game vs. C-Town

3) Moscow Vandals (6-0) LW - #4 (27.89)
Moscow inches up one spot this week, after a 96-0 drubbing of Chernobyl. Off to their best start ever, Moscow is proving that they deserve to be mentioned with the tops teams in the league. However, their biggest test ever comes this week at Krakow. Can they rise to the challenge?
Last Game vs. Chernobyl, W 96-0
Next Game vs. Krakow

4) International Players (6-0) LW - #5 (26.61)
The players move up one spot as well, cracking the top 5 for the first time. Another young upstart in Alpha, International has a very good ball club that is playing it's best football ever. This team faces a good test this week in NISSA, before the Cows saunter into the Players Palace.
Last Game vs. Athens, W 38-13
Next Game at NISSA

5) Lowell Bengal Tigers (5-1) LW - #10 (18.09)
LBT makes a big jump this week, as their early season loss to the Cossacks falls off their rankings. Coupled with a dominant performance against Florida, and LBT is back sitting in the 5 spot and looking to keep moving up. However, they end the season with 5 games against some of the top teams in Alpha. Could be a tough stretch. Their is no truth to the rumor, btw, that LBT CB's donned Florida uniforms this week in order to confuse the Bucs offense. It's pure speculation. *whisper* Fiddy, burn those damn things.
Last Game vs. Florida, W 69-0
Next Game at London

6) Moscow Bears (5-1) LW - #8 (14.64)
Moscow is riding a 5 game winning streak, as they slide up into the 6-hole. Another team in Alpha, just a step below the top tier, is out to prove themselves worthy of a playoff spot. Since their 2pt win over Charleston, Moscow has scored 50+ in the past 2 weeks. Do they belong here? We'll find out soon enough, with NISSA, Krakow and Moscow all on the schedule in the next 6 weeks.
Last Game vs. London, W 63-3
Next Game at Athens

7) The Look (5-1) LW - UC (13.64)
The Look holds strong in the 7th spot this week with a big 3pt win over Volgograd. They are looking to stay here as their next 3 games are against Zeta's bottom dwellars. However, and much like LBT in Alpha, the Look are going to soon find themselves in a stretch of schedule facing the top teams in their conference while fighting for that all important playoff spot.
Last Game vs. Volgograd, W 26-23
Next Game at Subotica

8) Longreach Wildcats (5-1) LW - #11 (13.37)
Longreach moves up from 11-8 with an impressive win over the London Headhunters, at London. You could only really call this an upset if live on mars and have no internet connection (I don't think comcast has moved out that far, quite yet). Longreach is really playing good football, however, i'd be remiss to say i would have picked this one. Anyhow, GG Longreach this week, impressive win. And congratulations, you now have a target on your backs!
Last Game at London HH, W 16-10
Next Game vs. Prague Panthers

9) C-Town Hoodlums (5-1) LW - UC (11.92)
C-Town narrowly escapes the upset this week, beating Sydney 19-16 at home. Thereby, holding onto their 9 spot this week. Still a bit of an enigma, their only loss this season came at the hands of the Look, by 4 points. This week is the test for them as they go on the road to the vaunted "Thunderhead" stadium to match up with the Storm. Do they have what it takes? We'll find out shortly.
Last Game vs. Sydney, W 19-16
Next Game at St. Petersburg

10) London Head Hunters(5-1) LW - #3 (11.71)
London drops from 3 to 10 this week, with what can only be considered a disappointing loss to Longreach. That loss, coupled with some wins by other teams, London ends up in the 10th spot. However, they are, by all rights, still the favorite to win the division, so one loss shouldn't affect this team in the slightest. Look for them to shrug this one off, and go out and beat up Sydney this week.
Last Game vs. Longreach, L 10-16
Next Game at Sydney

Waiting in the wings...
11) Haguenau Coyotes
12)Fehervar Enthroners
13) Nissa Dauphins
14) Prague Panthers
15) Volgograd Berserks
16) Chernobyl Radionuclides
17) Tallaght Outlaws
18) Hat Creek Cattle Company
19) Warsaw Cossacks
20) Sydney Tire Irons

Got some work to do...
21) Leicester Lynxes
22) Subotica Scorpions
23) Athens Aggies
24) Carluke Cobras
25) Charleston Roadwarrios

Need to really get working...
26) Sparta Spartans
27) Transylvania Bats
28) Orange Blood Nation
29) Florida Buccaneers
30) London Dolphins
31) Piortreks Fantasy
32) Chernobyl Meltdowns

Alpha - 5
Zeta - 5
So of course, as always, LOL@Zeta

I didn't expect to be back in the top 10 this fast but cool. Definitely a good game with London.

I wouldn't quite call Longreach one of the best yet. There's still a lot of season left. Let's see if we can keep up this streak.

The fact that you realize we are Moscow Idaho, not Moscow Russia is awesome.

can someone explain to me how the AI has my team (hatcreek) go for it on 4th and 1 with a 1:15 left in the 4th quarter from our own 39, and we dont run it, we pass it and it gets intercepted, did i mention that we were winning by 4. WTF!!

Prague is on the move.

We have two tough games coming up. I will give Joboo an extra offering of rum. If we can manage two wins, the top 10 may be a possibility.

Prague's gonna have a tough game ahead in both Longreach and London. We came out snarling this season, we were just purring last season.

Great game Aggies; we're looking forward to our next big test, in NISSA. They've got a great looking team this season, so it should be fun. We've got a tough stretch of games coming up, but I'm not worried. I'm elated that we've done this good so far, and look for more to come! I look forward to seeing how much we have improved when we meet up with Krakow at Players Palace in a couple of games.

There's no doubt these games will be rough, but Prague will pull out the wins. We will be a force in the playoffs.
