1. Niagara Nightmare (5-0)
Previous: 1 High: 1 Low: 2
I called the Thrashers defence one of the best in the league. The Nightmare took that statement and wiped their asses with it, racking up almost 400 yards just in rushing. The Nightmare have been tested just once this year by a tough KC team. One has to wonder what it will take to beat these guys.

2. Calgary Destroyers (5-0)
Previous: 2 High: 1 Low: 2
Scoreboard showed it as tight but the Destroyers win again. Showed some great defensive ability against the UG. They’ve got an easier game up next against the Lions before a tough back to back stretch against Shilo and Saskatoon.

3. Kansas City Gorillas (4-1)
Previous: 3 High: 3 Low: 8
Turnovers handed KC a win over a scrappy Toronto squad. New owner Curtis Hall has really turned this franchise around.

4. Shilo Silly Nannies (4-1)
Previous: 5 High: 4 Low: 7
Rolled over the Alberta Irukandji 38-10. Their next big test is in three week against the Calgary Destroyers. The Nannies have the ability to knock off the defending champs but its easier said than done.

5. Saskatoon Sasquatch (4-1)
Previous: 6 High: 5 Low: 11
Made it four in a row against an overmatched Beavers team. The Hangmen game will be a shootout and show the rest of the league that the ‘Quatch packs some firepower.

6. Saskatchewan Thrashers (3-2)
Previous: 5 High: 3 Low: 6
Hung with Niagara for the first half but ran out of gas in the second as the Nightmare ran away with it. Having to play Calgary and Niagara back to back should be illegal, yet everyone has to do it.

7. Unsavory Gentlemen (3-2)
Previous: 7 High: 7 Low: 10
Game wasn’t as close as the scoreboard would have you believe as the UG corralled an interception deep in Calgary’s end to set up a TD, but all due cred to the UG for keeping it close defensively. The Gentlemen’s RB Jason Dean is emerging as an elite running back.

8. Chilliwack Care Bears (2-3)
Previous: 11 High: 6 Low: 11
A huge win against Kelowna vaults the Care Bears back into the picture. Chilliwack QB Cue Ball overwhelmed the Bulls’ defence and suddenly there’s hope in Chilliwack again. I’d bet money they make it two in a row against Alberta next week.

9. Genosha X-Men (3-2)
Previous: 8 High: 5 Low: 9
The X-Men got back in the win column against Prince George but it was far from a decisive win. If they want to be considered elite, they need to win games like these in a far more convincing fashion. Jury’s out on whether the X-Men are just a shadow of the Psycho Penguins.

10. Toronto Lockdowns (2-3)
Previous: 10 High: 9 Low: 12
Got soundly beaten by the Gorillas but showed that they can hang with the big boys. Game may have been a different story if not for the turnover problems. The Lockdowns may be a late season sleeper. They’ve got an upset opportunity against an underachieving X-Men team.

11. Kelowna Bulls (2-3)
Previous: 9 High: 3 Low: 11
As the loss streak extends to three, the Bulls must be asking what the hell is going on. Once viewed as a legit playoff contender, the Bulls have faded badly. They need a good performance against the KC Gorillas to have some momentum on a three game stretch where they’ll need to run the table.

12. Manitoba Lions (2-3)
Previous: 13 High: 11 Low: 13
Give the Lions credit. They did something no one else has been able to do…shutout the Hangmen. This game had the makings of a shootout but the Lions excelled on both sides of the ball and blew out Northside. They enter the back to back of hell with Calgary and Niagara up next but they could still make a playoff push.

13. Prince George Warriors (0-5)
Previous: 15 High: 13 Low: 15
Outleveled against the X-Men but almost won it. They’ll win some games later in the season.

14. Alberta Irukandji (1-4)
Previous: 12 High: 11 Low: 15
Got soundly beat by Shilo. They’ve got the stars on this team, they just need to round out the rest of the squad. If they can earn at least a split on their BC swing, they’ll make people take notice.

15. Fhockey.com Demos (Edmonton Beavers) (0-5)
Previous: 16 High: 14 Low: 16
Five games in and the Beavers owner decided he had enough. Welcome to the league, the Demos. They come in with a tough matchup against Shilo to start it off. That’s how we roll in A5…welcome to the league…here’s your first ass kicking.

16. Northside Hangmen (0-5)
Previous: 16 High: 14 Low: 16
Now its not new for the Hangmen to get 49 hung on them. But not by Manitoba. And not being shutout while it happens. Word is that the Hangmen defensive playbook is actually just a maze filled out in crayon on the back of a Denny’s menu.

Yep excellent job. I think KC beats Calgary later this year.

KC is the second best team. They were up 21 points on us in the first q. against us. I don't look forward to playing them again.

Calgary is overrated.

um...were not overrated cuz were not the guys who built up our whole team again, we stuck with who we have from last year, and replaced wat we lost with higher guys...so before you open your damn mouth...do some research on our team.

Lucky for you, you guys get us in about 3 weeks so you'll get a chance to get better before our game and if you win good job, but look what happened to Moose Jaw, the "powerhouse" last year. Niagara did nothing last year, but get beat by Moose Jaw, at least we can consider ourselves overrated. But when you run with what you brought and only fill holes and don't recruit higher level players and are still one of the best teams in the league what does that say???

KC received the grace period and that's the only reason he can be competitive, a 1/2 season under his belt, hard telling how much cash and I'm sure numerous level 20+ trades happening during grace period. If team wasn't "enjoying" the grace period KC wouldn't be on the map, period. But he did a great job with what he was handed and yes the are a force to be reckoned with, great job.

But I'm tired of hearing "Calgary is overrated." Maybe I should hit the trade block, trade for every level 20 player I can afford, throw my teams chemistry in the toilet and hope for a miracle come playoff team. WRONG, not happening as I'm perfectly content with running with MY CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM and filling the holes with reliable players. Now before you look up and down my roster, yes I did add a few level 20 players but I didn't stock up on them

If you want to think last season counts, good for you. Bort already stated it was a dumb decision to run it the way he did with mid season team release.

You didn't even have to play everyone. We would of thumped you last year. I have no clue how you guys beat Moosejaw other then the guy must of been throwing the game.

Yet they beat moosejaw and you didn't. Get over yourself, your team is not as good as you think it is.

They also lost to Moosejaw, so what is your point?

we also played them at the beginning, you know when we were trying desperately to get our teams together, yeah...we went out at the end and beat them, so we lost, yeah...but it was different before.

you need to stay consistant with your arguments

first you say last season doesnt matter
then your only argument is about the only game we lost which was "last season"
