Well it seems Zeta is having the most problems with money this season as they make 5 of the Top 6 teams to watch for money problems. Alpha has 1 but when you do the math, they are the greatest at risk of going broke.

These numbers are based off of (Cash on hand - 30 days of roster salary) and does not include loan payments or means of income. 30 days, since thats all we have left this season.

Now here is the Top 6 teams to watch (Rated from 6 least likely to go broke to number 1 being the most likely).

6. Krakow Cheetahs (neg $294,547.08)... Probably a first round dropout in the playoffs, but still enough income to make it this season

5. Bucharest Elves (neg $477,788.00)... they won't make it to the playoffs, but ticket sales and concession sales will keep them afloat and pay the players.

4. Mediterranean Mayhem (neg $837,707)... A very strong team, but with strength comes alot of cash being handed out. They will make it with alot of ticket sales, and what child doesnt want a jersey for christmas of their favorite Mayhem player. Rumor has it they already took out a loan? we would like to know.

3. Latvia Doom (neg $946,517.30)... This playoff bound team has alot of weapons at a good price, don't worry too much since their fans will eat and drink enough to support their paychecks.

2. PTT Dark Knights (neg $1,312,324.60)... I have bashed this team for it's money problems from the start, plus we all know about the loan that will add to their debt. That being said this team has a solid fan support and will get home games in the playoffs. They will just make it this season, just to feel the money pinch and alot of stress for next season.

1. Red Fort Royals (neg $1,209,775.20)... This team is far from the playoffs since they got all the easy games done and over with. Not only I see them being out of the playoffs, this team has the highest daily salary in the league. These two problems will hurt them in the end, creating a huge issue with it's players and fans. I hope they do something and fast to save this team from being taken over.

That is it for this weeks Money Talk with Slicker. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask... also i would like the owners of these teams to give us some insight and respond with their thoughts.

i think you should do a report on the teams with the best run team, money wise. like current cash, salary, ect. unless team is owned by one or two guys

Well that will take alot of work... but i am up to the challenge (just not today). Give me a few days of boredom (when the wifey is gone) and i will pick the most cash efficient team that will make it to the playoffs. It should include ticktet prices, concession prices, daily team salary, stadium size, current cash, and amount of wins. Now thinking about it, i should wait till the playoffs before i do this... what do you all think? now or later?

Yes you take that 1 million and you subtract your salary for 30 days that you pay your players throughout the season... It's simple math and not really hard. I suggest you find out your daily salary for your team by adding all the yearly pays and divide by 40.

Plus on top i mentioned how i got these numbers and that they were projections for the end of the year (minus the incomes). The whole purpose is to toss out a number that you have to make in sales to stay out of neg numbers.

lol actually i have a wife and a baby girl. Currently i have alot of free time on my hands since i'm not working. I was a member of the 10th mountain and recently finished my contract, so i'm in the transition phase of waiting for paperwork from vocational rehab (Left ulnar nerve got messed up overseas) to go back to college and learn a new trade.

Plus what makes you think i dont have a wife??? Do i give off that weird basement dwelling teen scent. I find it actually funny and would like to know. I would have honestly pictured me as some misable accountant complaining about money and people abusing it, while eating creme puffs in my mothers basement lol.

How about breaking down the stadiums and ranking them largest to smallest and projecting income for each based on ticket prices.

Someone should keep an eye on Goodwill to see if any team is buying team gear there as well.

The only flaw in that logic is that you can't see how many seats remain unsold, and you haven't projected concession sales. You're working with the assumption that all games are sold out, and that would not be true if tickets were priced poorly. You can check on their ticket and concession prices, but concession sales aren't public knowledge either. Could always speculate though. Taking a stab at the number, I'd guess the average money made on concessions at this level is $11 per fan at the game. Any owner want to drop some knowledge on money made per fan on concessions?

Yeah, in Bucharest's case, they have 6 home games left. With 11260 seats per game, at a conservative $10.5 per fan per game, you are talking about an additional $709380 in income this year from concessions. Not to mention that they've obviously spent money upgrading their seating, so it's feasible to say they aren't sold out.

Update - Though with the pricing I'm seeing now I'd guess that either they are sold out since the price is so low, or they recently lowered prices to encourage ticket sales.

The team I own makes about 15.38 per fan per home game. Sometimes it goes up sometimes it goes down but its just a few percent each way.
