I have to rush on this weeks addition as the wife is breating down my neck to get her to the beach. Here goes.

Power rankings.

1 Houston Orangebloods 4-0-0 W6
Houston resumes its place at the top. I cant see the OBs not secureing the top seed in the west. Nothing but cheese games for a few weeks.

2 Dallas Horns 4-0-0 W4
A breezy start is complete. Now onto 5 games of hell.

3 Texas Roughnecks 4-0-0 W4
Doing everything right, a nice matchup with Austin and then onto easy street for a few weeks.
4 H-Town Hitmen 4-0-0 W6
The most dangerous team around right now. They have solid builds and championship game planning. up coming games will provide little resistance. How do all the top teams get the weaklings all in a row? makes for boring writeups.

5 Oklahoma City Spartans 4-0-0 W25
One week away from a monster matchup with the Dallas Horns that will tell us a lot about our top four.

6 Caribbean Sphere 4-0-0 W7
Sphere are doing all that they should. Especialy with what appears to be the weakest roster they have fielded since CCC. Two weeks away from the first loss.

7 Allen Zephyrs 3-1-0 W3
Allen is the last team to have multiple wins in the conference. they face a few heavy hitters in the upcoming weeks. Well they stay ahead of the has beens?

*With the time crunch the wife has put on me, I am going with the computer rankings for the 1win and 0win teams this week. Next week should provide a better picture for the 8 spot.

I will say this about the West this season. It appears the top of the board teams are as awesome as ever, but the bottom half is uglier than it ever has been.

8 North Carolina State 1-3-0 L1
9 Oklahoma Thunder 1-3-0 W1
10 Rockford Wrecking Crew 1-3-0 L3
11 Texas Tornado 1-3-0 L2
12 Omaha Mavericks 1-3-0 L3
13 Austin Longhorns 0-4-0 L4
14 Round Rock 12th Man 0-4-0 L5
15 Austin Powers 0-4-0 L4
16 San Francisco Stonecutters 0-4-0 L4

This weeks matchups

Allen Zephyrs vs. Dallas Horns
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=739&team2=774
Allen has a pulse, but in no way do they have a fovorable matchup against #2 Dallas. Look for the powerfull Dallas defense to put Allen through the meat grinder. Allen If you havent boosted, now would be the time.
Dallas wins easy 40-6

Houston Orangebloods vs. San Francisco Stonecutters
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=762&team2=777
Houston 155-0

North Carolina State vs. Round Rock 12th Man
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=764&team2=1318
Avery close matchup. The winner takes the first step out of the gutter.
State 21-17

Caribbean Sphere vs. Rockford Wrecking Crew
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=768&team2=112
Look for a heavy dose of Iowa Jones and a bit of flash.
Sphere 33-0

Texas Roughnecks vs. Austin Longhorns
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=776&team2=770
Not as lopsided of a game as the records will lead you to believe. Is this the game Jimmy Turner comes out of retirement? Can Austin stop the run?
Roughnecks win 31-14

Texas Tornado vs. Oklahoma Thunder
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1242&team2=1275
A boring game. Should be dominated by the thunder.
Thunder 33-6

Oklahoma City Spartans vs. Austin Powers
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1276&team2=766
OKC 145-0

H-Town Hitmen vs. Omaha Mavericks
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1310&team2=765
I was looking forward to seen the Mavericks compete this year. Not this week.
HTown 44-13

Nice writeup Buddy considering the wife is involved....any young man that would even consider marriage should be taken out and shot.

you have no idea how excited I am about tonite's game. Its essentially the first game of our season.

As for Tuesday's game, I'm like a kid jacked up on mountain dew.

Weakest roster since the CCC? We lost no one in the off season. This Sphere team is much better than last season's team. It may not show up in W's and L's because everyone else improved also but they are more than capable of beating anyone in this league. I'd hate for Buddy to have to eat his words. Horns are a great team, but late last season Sphere beat them 12-0. Sphere is a better team now than then. No easy win for the Horns and given last years loss to the Sphere, what makes the Horns the favorite in that game? At best the game should be considered a toss up. Oh I know what it is, since Houston got beat down by the Horns then the Sphere should automatically lose to them because Houston is so awesome. Please take that crap elsewhere. The Sphere lost 2 regular season games by a combined total of 7 points. One play in each of those games and the Sphere could have been 16-0 with a weaker roster at that time.

You'll beat the Zephyr's easily, then work hard on that game with the Spartans Tuesday, then rest all your starters Thursday to get ready for your big Saturday game with the Orangebloods.

Houston 255-0

No Buddy, your team will have to run in mud for 3 1/2 quarters. You will have trouble matching the Sphere's 164-0 score.

We lost on OT with a season high in missed tackles and our kicker couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Exaggerate much?

If that was a beat down I guess we pummeled you guys into submission.

The west needs to have at least 6 teams relegated.

Bort needs to come up with a system to move gutted and rebuilding teams out of leagues. Winning big, game after game, just isn't fun.

I think there should be level 1 cap leagues for teams that want to rebuild and new teams that want to start fresh.

Have the level cap increase dynamically to equal the highest level player in the league.

This makes game planning and builds more important than bringing in ringers from a "network" of teams.
