1. (1)Montreal Maniacs: #1 ranked offense is lead by HB Harrison Wegener (423 yards 12 TDs), WR Willie Mayes Hayes (21 rec 299 yards 3 TDs), & WR Kerry Wes (18 rec 299 yards 1 TD). Tommy Hamstrings (3 sacks 6 hry 1 FF) and Bernd Jonas (12 tackles 3 int) have been the playmakers on #2 Defense. Montreal will travel to Cambridge to face a struggling Thundercats team that has lost 2 in a row.
2. (3)Norfolk'n Way: The Way have been stormin up the polls all season, but their #2 O and #4 D will get their biggest challenge of this young season when they head to Yukon. The running game has been bruising behind Zippe Code, Studvin Young, & Natalie Hershlag (7 TDs, she can really “pound” you). On D, Chainsaw (13 tackles 5 sacks 7hry) is having a great start.
3. (5)Yukon Silent Pwners: Yukon will face their second undefeated team in as many weeks as Norfolk’n comes into town. Yukon owns the #3 Defense in the league with Victory Drama (25 tackles 2 sacks 1 FF 2 PD), Andy Seth (23 tackles 5 int 11 PD), and Patruck Willis being the stars thus far. Pierce and Sauber have controlled this #2 Pass O (1097 yards 9 TD 1 int), while WR KING Johnson (22 rec 238 yards), matty biggz (19 rec 182 yards 2 TD) and Roman Marko (16 rec 235 3 TDs) have been the “Go To”s.
4. (6)Sactown Rage: Sactown has played perfect ball since their open day loss with the conferences #1 D giving up only 17 points this year. DT Mar Lo (16 tackle 4 sacks) and DEs Bay Watch (5 sacs 1 FF) and O. Little III (4 sacks) have been the anchor of this Defense. Offensively, BScAt (conference leading 596 yards, 10 TD) has pulled the offense while The Second Coming progresses. Sactown will go to Peterborough and face the Up and Coming Goons.
5. (8)Peterborough Goons: The Goons storm up the rankings with a huge upset of Manitoba, but they’ll get no time to rest with Sactown and Montreal the next two weeks. Mover Over YBV has been the MVP so far this year with a 107 rating, 863 yards, 11 TDs, and 0 int; all leading the conference. Mean machine has been just that with 3 Sacks and 1 FF.
6. (2)Manitoba Wild Boars: A slip against Peterborough led to a slip in the rankings. There #11 ranked D was exploited last week, but they expect to bring it hard in Toronto. They still have the #3 rush game with Phil Blake (542 yards 13 TD) at the helm. The Purple People Eater leads the league with 9 sacks and Don Taylor has contributed 5 sacks.
7. (4)Alert Sentinels: A poor performance against Yukon resulted in Alerts first loss. Alert looks to deliver the same punishment they received to the Cougars. In the first 4 weeks, Alert has relied on MP Hayes (378 yards 4 TDs) to steady the offense while Iinuma grows (723 yards 5 TD 5 int). Their 7th ranked defense will look to improve against weak offenses (#15th and #16th) the next two weeks.
8. (9)Albany Mohicans: Albany is going for their third win in a row this week against the Maelstrom. Albany has played great D this year (#6), but their offense will need to improve (#14). Lord of Marmo (15 tackles 2 sacks 1 FF) and TT Soldier (33 tackles) have been solid for a tough Defense.
