Warrior General Games

Just using the spreadsheet posted by GarrettFoster in the main forum. I haven't looked at the calculation methodology much, but it involves all sort of factors, including all of the team stats (passing, rushing, etc.)

I'll try to do this every week.

Hmm.. Pike, you're ranked ahead of us after we beat you.. How'd you do that?

Thanks for putting this up. Pretty cool to look at. The scout bars are pretty cool, but I don't put a lot of stock in them. If they were 100%, we'd lose a lot more games than we do. Always thought it unfair for rankings to put a team in one conference over another since there's really no good way of figuring that out. I'd love to see divisions in the conferences and some inter-conference play during the season.

Something like this.. 4 divisions North, South, East, West.. you play your division opponents twice (6 games) and mix up the rest of the schedule. Division champs and 4 wild cards go into playoffs from each conference. More NFL style really. I wouldn't do byes because that just means you have fewer home playoff games if you finish with best records.

Back on topic, I think this will be interesting to see shake out as the season goes on and there are more games played.

lol.. if the Tanks are the 9th best team in the league, I'm in serious trouble and should fire my scout.

Made even weirder by their #1 overall offense and #3 overall defense rankings. Maybe if I'm bored one day I'll dig into the formulas. Probably not.

I put together the rankings for after the August 10th games and Ironton dropped down below ninth, so I had to dig in. Found something wrong with the spreadsheet and sent a PM to the creator. When he puts out an updated file I'll post up some decent ratings that don't have the best team in the league below teams with 2 losses.

no biggie.. we can be #9... We just rather stay below the radar

if you want to stay below the radar....quit scoring so many points.

But it's fun to score points.

Maybe that's why we're 8th and the Tanks are 9th. We score too much to get ranked higher.

More likely you've played teams that are so crappy, they broke the spreadsheet. That is pretty much what happened. Teams that forced too few turnovers came up with a negative value in one cell...broke the whole thing.

We got two more interceptions today. I don't think we've played teams that are "so crappy". Camelot and Hamburg are easily better than their records right now.
