Let me begin by saying I do not blame the new owners at all for this situation (all you wanted was a new team after all), but I am concerned about the current state of USA #2. The West has at least 5 teams that would much better fit going against D League opponents. I haven't paid as much attention to the East, but it doesn't look too much better over there. I have to say I miss the competition of last few seasons already.

Are the owners of the teams that are caught in the middle out there planning on leaving as well and lowering the overall competition in the league even lower? What can we as owners do to prevent this from happening? Is there anything we can do?

Please discuss.

The East is still strong. In fact, maybe even better this year.

We got a little spoiled last season in the West. I don't think we had a team break 50 points until quite a few weeks into the season. The obvious reason is we didn't have any team that had been recently gutted. This season we somehow ended up with five that have been affected by a gutting. Unfortunately, I see it being a problem that will likely only get worse. Teams are way too easy to obtain and likewise too easy to dump. They are almost as disposable as players are. Unfortunately, it has much more of an effect on others.

Um- the East has 1 gutted team. Everyone else is legit.

The game is still pretty new and you guys are almost at the very bottom of the USA. You should expect to have some crappy teams, ya know?

And you guys shouldn't even want to be in a crappy A league.
C'mon, the whole point should be trying to improve and move up... you're all a long way from being in the best league. You don't like playing crappy teams then how about you move to a tougher league, hmmmms?

that's gonna be hard to do seeing as how only 2 teams move up each season.

c'mon, don't forget that there are a couple of teams that would fit perfectly in a higher league in the west and east, yet only one of those from each league can move up.

sure, eventually everything will be sorted out where gutted team can play against gutted team, but that would take a couple of seasons to work out, and, there will probably be more gutted teams in higher leagues.

And, even after the couple of seasons, if we go the way that we're going now,

the conference games and playoffs could be gutted team vs gutted team, and then the gutted teams would move up, while teams with a couple of levels from the above league would go down, get complete blow outs nearly every single game and then move back up again to repeat the cycle

As seasons go by, the best teams will move up 2 by 2. Soon the Pros will be stacked with elite teams, and these lower tier leagues will have all of the king donaldts and french licks.

It should be all relative. Each league (except Pro & BBB) purges its four worst teams to a lower league and loses its two top teams to a higher league. They then receive the lower league's four best teams and inherit the higher team's two best teams. This is true about A, AA and AAA leagues. So the chance of an A league ending up with an imbalance of team strength should be the same as an AA or AAA league ending up with an imbalance of team strength.

I think part of it is our number just came up. Last season the East had two teams that had been affected by guttings and the West had none. This season the West has five teams that have been affected by guttings and the East has one.

I don't think so. A USA Pro team can be a victim of a gutting as well, and it will take at least four seasons for that team to fall down to the BBB leagues.

Teams will always be in flux. Bad teams will become good and good teams will become bad (sometimes overnight) so it won't just resolve itself that all the top teams are in the top league and all the bad teams are in the lowest leagues. There will always be movement.

Its happening across all the leagues....

Remember this game is still in Beta, and as such requires a lot of fixing.

As it currently stands, owners have too much power, as realistic as Bort has made it, there is nothing stopping an owner from being a dirt bag, there is no public or inbuilt system to name/shame and prevent owners from doing dirty deeds.

Most important of all, this whole concept is new, and most people, primarily owners and GMs don't know how to actually manage a team of people... sure they maybe good at running stats defense/offense, but that means shit if you don't know how to manage people.

Properly informing all players of contract options, would be a big step towards this

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=288822

How many people know they can request a "no trade" contract.

Many owners greet their players with a fake smile and welcome, then treat them like dirt... treat the players like they're playing a single player game... because when it comes down to it.... its BS difficult to handle/manage people...

If you can't manage people in real life how do you expect to manage people online where there's less communication.

Sure players are also at fault, but not nearly as much, since the power they weild is so small.

Owners are baulking at high pay demands.... well if you've seen lvl 32 and 40 gear prices.. you wouldn't... boosted players really need to be able to demand more, since they'll reach these levels fairly quick.

Level 1 = $500 * 4 = $2000
Level 8 = $2500 * 4 = $10000
Level 16 = $12500 * 4 = $50000
Level 24 = $50000 * 4 = $200,000
Level 32 = $200k * 4 = $800k
Level 40 = $800k * 4 = $3.2M
Level 48 = $3.2m * 4 = $12.8M

And from what I've see Bort plans on bringing in more options to spend cash, ie shopping - morale? Fingers cross there's whoring too....
