Mekong versus Firestorm.

It will be a very good game, but I personally think the Firestorm take this one. This game should really show how important good chemistry is.

Either way, we will be down to two undefeated teams, as I think the Idols will rack up another W in week 5.

Ps. Credit goes to ...ryan for starting the game of the week thread for Alpha. I just couldn't wait for you to put it up once I saw that these two teams played in week 5.

I agree with this. I am still a believer that chemistry has a bit to do with a team's performnance, so while Mekong has a slight edge on Forbidden City on the defensive side of the ball, the Firestorm's chemistry gives them the edge IMO.

Should be a great game.

Who is hating? raptorjesus always has a chip on his shoulder, mostly because he is a messy eater.

Dude, you may have won by 21+ points, but look at the schedule you've played thus far. Every team Mekong has played they have severely outleveled. This is the first time you actually have an even matchup.

I'll give you all the credit you want if you beat the Firestorm by 21 points. You haven't played anyone in the top 8 in Alpha yet. I wouldn't get too excited just yet.

You have a good shot at winning in week 5, but I don't think that you will.

Also, your team has kind of brought the negative vibe/energy on themselves.

It should also be noted that I do personally have my favorites in our division. I'll be honest when I say that I openly root for certain teams because I have gotten to know their GMs on our forum and gained respect for some more than others. I know that I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I openly dont care raptor, I assume that all will hate us. And the doubters are correct firestorm shellacked us twice last year.We havent done anything as of yet.And if we beat firestorm the haters will come back on and say that we got lucky or that i have too many of my own players on my team and how its unfair and all that other garbage.Accept it for what its worth,It will be all season long no matter what we do.And thats what being on Mekong is all about.


EDIT: This will be a crucial must win game for us.Finally a true test of what kind of team we are.We could be like last years shitty team or we could aspire to grow up to be Winona.

Actually, you have receieved credit for going out and recruiting players, and I am sure that if you were to pull out a win against the Firestorm there will be posters here that will give credit where credit is due.

I think it started with Phnom Penhs thread so there is one and a few private pm's from owners who basically said the same thing in private conversation.Its ok though it goes with the territory.And its a complement really because if we were 0-4 we wouldnt be having this conversation.

I'm not hating (or at least I'm not trying to)! I think you have a really good team. I just put more emphasis on chemistry than most, so I think that it will make the difference in the game on Sunday morning.

I don't mind being wrong. It happens, quite a lot.

You were +6 matchup favorites in all three of those games. The even matchup games tend to not be blowouts. That being said, jenred and I were discussing which would be harder to win... wk 5 vs Mekong or wk 6 vs Idols and we had different opinions. Both should be great games and we don't discount either of you in any way.

I think he means coming out of nowhere, beating teams better than you, being a strong dark horse, and ripping off a nice double digit win streak. And yeah, if you beat the firestorm even by 1 you'll be getting credit where credits due. And we understand raptorjesus has a natural inability to use his brain. We don't hold it against you flounder.
