#1 Carolina Hammer vs. #4 Washed Rock Stars
Elvis Presley and company head down to the Anvil to face off against a Carolina team that is steamrolling the early season competition. Both are juggernauts of teams with top ranked offenses and Defenses. Look for a slug fest of a game as the Rock Stars show why they deserve to be considered in the elite of the league. In the end, the Jerry Snell-Connor King hookup will be too strong and Carolina will win by 10.
Carolina Hammer 30 – Rock Stars 20
#2 DC Warriors vs. #14 Cleveland Greyhounds
While DC hopes for a Rock Star upset over Carolina, they travel to Cleveland to take on the Greyhounds. Can’t find much to say here, so I’ll pick my team by 1.
DC 1 – Cleveland 0
#3 Care Bears vs. #10 West Bend Warlocks
West Bend is in disarray with a lvl 15 QB, lvl 15 FB, and lvl 18 Center starting, 3 inactive players, 9 CPU players on the roster, and 5 of their defensive starters being traded. I’m not sure whats going on in that locker room, but it doesn’t look pretty and it may be awhile before West Bend competes for the playoffs again. Its going to be bruising game as West Bend loses by 23 and is in danger of being passed by the Oregon Ducks in the rankings.
Care Bears 30 – West Bend 7
#5 Dogg Pound vs. #16 Cincinnati Slaughter
Swamp Rat was recently quoted as saying, “enough of these effin patsies, bring me a team where I can show that asshole Jearly how good we really are!” That day will probably come, but just not this week as the Dogg Pound obliterate the Slaughter by 37.
Dogg Pound 37 – Slaughter 0
#6 NY Steel-Heads vs. #9 French Lick Dirty Whorns
One of the more interesting matchups of the week as NY appears to have recovered a bit after a Michigan Wolverine-like start to the season but needs to prove a little more before we restore them to elite status. Meanwhile CWD40 is sick of barely missing the playoffs every season and is looking for a statement game to show that this is their year to make a move. Look for E. Smith to get going early behind some crisp passing by Stone, but Stephen Watson will stand tall against a relentless NY Defense and make this a close one. However, at the end of the day NY will have a little too much for French Lick and win by 7.
NY 17 – French Lick 10
#7 Eleven Wise Monkeys vs. #15 Compton ‘Nilla Wafers
After a bruising loss to Carolina and a scare vs. Oregon, Mykel is looking for a game off and is happy to face #15 Compton. He would be wise not to overlook the former Penn Lions are huddling and will eventually find a way to break out. I don’t think its this week and the Monkeys will win by 17.
Monkeys 20 – Compton 3
#8 Canton Hall of Famers vs. #11 Oregon Ducks
I’m very tempted to pick Oregon in this game. Oregon has shown its mettle early with the upset over NY and they almost picked off the Monkeys as well. However, I don’t think they’re surprising anyone anymore and Ripcity will have to wait 2 weeks for victory #2 on the season. Laoks is no fool and is able to pull off the 3 point victory over League passing leader Knob McDude and the Ducks.
Canton 20 – Oregon 17
#12 Colorado Storm vs. #13 Columbus Spartans
Get the fans some coffee, wake up the cheerleaders, and get your mom a ticket. We’ve got a game boys! Colorado and Columbus are both itching to get the helmets on and grab their first victory of the season. At the end of the day though, Colorado squeaks out the victory by a measely little point
