(Tārgoviste)- The football team formerly know as the Sofia Falcons completed their much anticipated move to Romania earlier today and in the process revealed to the public for the first time their new name and logo.
At a press conference this morning the Falcons front office announced the move and proudly displayed the team's new name: Tārgoviste Impalers. The Impalers currently reside in the Zeta conference of EE A #5 and have already started with their regular season schedule. Team PR Officer Arsenal27 spoke on behalf of the team.
"To begin with I would first like to thank the wonderful city of Sofia for hosting us these first few weeks of the season. Sofia is an amazing city with a rich history and our team had a great experience there to start the year. That being said, I believe I can speak for the entire organization in saying that we can't wait to establish a winning tradition in a place such as Tārgoviste."
"We decided upon Tārgoviste after carefully studying it's superb atmosphere and welcoming citizens," continued Arsenal. "I am sure that the Impalers will have no problem completing the switch to such a great city. We are all looking forward to bringing a fun style of football to the people of Tārgoviste."
The club expects to leave the capital of Bulgaria and arrive in the Romanian city within the day. The move should be finished well before the team's week 3 matchup with the Boston Piggers.
