1. (3)Yukon Silent Pwners: The Pwners proved one thing in their match up against Sactown, they got a stingy D. The Offense was kept in check by the one of the league’s best Ds. Frankenstein and the Machine were held to a lil over 110 yards on the ground, but an accurate passing game to 9 receivers kept the chains moving. Willis and Seth were a couple of standouts for a tough, deep D. GAME OF THE WEEK : Montreal @ Long Dong Stadium, where the winner will be #1!!!

2. (1)Montreal Maniacs: Montreal destroyed the expansion Expos. Wegeners 185 yards and 5 TDs lead the way and the passing game was awfully solid, with Willie Mayes Hayes catching a deep ball. Defensively John Garcia led the team with 12 tackle, 3 Sacks, and a FF. Montreal goes to Yukon in a rematch of last year’s Conference Finals.

3. (4)Manitoba Wild Boars: After shutting out Boston, Manitoba will look to go 2-0 when they face Niagara next week. While the passing game wasn’t there, their rushing game was unstoppable with Phil Blake (182 yards 3TDs) and B.T.Y.B (138 yards 2TDs). TE Cairns had almost 60 yards and 1 TD. Don Taylor racked up 6 tackles and 4 Sacks.

4. (5)Cambridge Thunder Cats: Toronto felt the wrath of the Thunder Cats…. HOOOOOOOOOOOO. Kix was rushing EVERYWHERE, 205 yards and 3TDs. JDawg was able to throw the ball well despite consistent pressure all game. Cambridge was able to shut down the pass, but looked a little susceptible to the rush. Theyll try to shore that up against the Goons this week.

5. (8)Norfolk'n Way : Norfolk’n is looking to start this season fast, a 40 point victory is a good way. There wasn’t much they couldn’t do offensively, both QBs showed precision passing, all five RBs averaging over 4 yards per carry, and all the receivers catching at least 2 balls; Extremely Balanced. Make ahit was pressuring the QB all day with 6 tak, 1 sack, and 1hurry. They welcome in Albany who played Alert tough last week.

6. (6) Alert Sentinels : MP Hayes(97 rush yards, 1TD), Archibal McSlippie(117 rush yards), & The Sentinel D stuck it to Albany. John linuma struggled in the pass game as he was unable to crack 100 yards. The Mealstrom will visit Alert as they look to win their home opener.

7. (2) Sactown Rage: A disappointing start for Sactown as they lose to Conference Champion runnerup Yukon to start the season. BScat never got a chance to get going. The defense fought valiantly as CBs TV Nostrum, Champ Mcalister, & Laak Deep totaled 24 tackles and 10 PD. One of the league’s best Ds is getting pumped to take on a Cougar team that was shut out last weak

8. (12) Lake Michigan Maelstrom: The Maelstrom get the biggest jump of the week after winning their opener, but they were favored against Halifax. Bob Lando set the pace on the ground & TE J0SH SMITH thru the air. AC Starscream never left the field (83 plays) and never allowed that passing game ot get a groove. Next week Lake Michigan gets Alert to prove they should be moving up these charts.

9. (10)Peterborough Goons: Goons pulled off a close game on the passing arm of MO!YBV!! and his 278 yards and 2 TD’s, including a 47 yarder to Senior Lightning. Mean Machine brought the pressure all day long which led to 3 sacks. They will get to test their mettle vs the Thundercats when they march into town this week.

10. (15)Niagara Parrots: In a tough lost against the Goons, Niagara was able to move the ball thru the air and on the ground, but not effectively enough. With the Boars, Rage, and Maniacs on tap over the next three weeks, could be a tough start to the season for the Parrots.

11. (9)Albany Mohicans: Albany gave Alert one hell of a run in an extremely close game. Their D really came to play, but their Offense didn’t as it generated only 121 yards of offense. TT Soilder racked up 14 tackles in leading the defense. Albany gets an even tougher opponent this week as they travel to Norfolk’n Way.

12. (11)Boston Knights: The Knights allowed 56 points in this loss to a very tough Norfolk’n Way squad. They had to start passing the ball early and often and left them one dimensional. Defensively, they didn’t fair much better giving up over 200 yards on the ground and almost 300 thru the air giving them the worst ranked defense after week one. Toronto comes into town this week where one team will get their first win.

13. (13)Toronto ShenaniganZ: Toronto ran the ball pretty well piling up almost 200 yards, but Kix Montgomery rushed for over 200 yards by his lonesome. The defense was trampled for over 535 yards of offense, but that’s going to happen when you miss 25 tackles. They will head to Boston and dish out the same run game, but fix that loose tackling, to achieve their first victory.

14. (7)Cardiff Cougars: The Boars shut out the Cougars in a game that ended in the 1st quarter. After getting shutout in week one, the Cougars wear the conferences worst Offense. 22 rush yards and 64 pass yards wont cut it against any opponent. Cardiff played respectable pass defense, but when you let up 325 yards on the ground, why pass. They will need to get a better gameplan when they head in to face a very upset Sactown team.

15. (16)Montreal Expos: Montreal took a licking against the reigning league champs on the other side of the city. Gocinski was able to pass the ball effectively, when he wasn’t on his back (10 hurries and 5 sacks). John Garcia was a force defensively (12 tkl, 3 sacks, 1 FF) but he couldn’t stop that Offense all by himself. Montreal has a chance to get a win this week as they go to the Harpoons

16. (15)Halifax Harpoons: Halifax wasn’t able to get anything going offensively against the Mealstrom with only 2.7 yards/rush and 3.7 yards/pass. Defensively, they were able to holdout them out of the redzone for the first three quarters, which resulted in many FGs. Duffle Bag Boy played a strong game with 8 tackles and 4 PD. Halifax will get a chance to put Montreal back in the cellar when they head into Halfax.

Good game man, I need to teach my offense how to punch it in from inside the 2. 3 FG's kicked from .5, 1 and 1.5 yds out. Ridiculous.

wow, the pwners did all they could do. Dominated the running game, won the turnover battle, gained more yards total by a significant amount. Usually that translates into a W. GG guys.

Like Pwner said, difference was RedZone. We couldn't punch it in.

Indeed, we deserved no part of that W, but I won't complain
