Here are week 2 Power Poll. A few changes as to be expected as teams play different opponents.

1 Peloponnese Spartans 49.25 (+1)
2 Cosa Nostra Hitmen 44.00 (- 1)
3 Hill Valley Deloreans 32.75 (+ 2)
4 Frankfurt Funky Monkeys 32.25 (same)
5 Saratov Scoregasm 31.00 (+ 2)
6 Secretville Offtopics 29.00 (+6)
7 Berlin Crusaders 24.75 (+3)
7 St. Petersburg Rasputins 24.75 (-4)
9 Grodno Demons 22.50 (same)
10 Sevastopol Vikings 15.50 (-4)
11 Mad Dogs 4.00 (-3)
12 Mississippi Marsupials 2.50 (-1)
13 South City Chiefs -0.75 (+1)
14 Dresden Doomsday -1.25 (-1)
15 Bratislava Butchers -8.00 (same)
16 Italy Guardians -15.75 (same)

First time doing predictions so do not beat on me too bad. Still too early to get a good feel on who the better teams are except for the top teams. What are your thoughts? Where am I way off? I did not pick too many upsets. Who will make the first big upset?

Game Predictions:

#1 Spartans vs #10 Vikings - Spartans win 42-14
#2 Hitmen vs #3 Deloreans - Hitmen win 37-17
#4 Monkeys vs #5 Scoregasm - Monkeys win 34-27
#6 Offtopics vs #9 Demons - Offtopics win 24-17
#7 Crusaders vs #16 Guardians - Crusaders win 52-14
#7 Rasputins vs #11 Mad Dogs - Rasputins win 45-10
#12 Marsupials vs #14 Doomsday - Marsupials win 31-17
#13 Chiefs vs #15 Butchers - Butchers win 27-20

Lets get some season predictions going:

Spartans go undefeated (don't mean to jinx you)
Best RB in the league "BTK" vs *Sweetness* - must be something about using characters in the name that makes you unstopable. BTK wins rushing title.

*Sweetness* wins ypc title. we don't run as often.

When it comes to the Spartans the story ends with the other team crawling off the field.

Nice....Butchers win...sounds good to me.

Frankfurt is going to stomp Scoregasm... like badly (unless Scoregasm boosts). Scoregasm is going to look like the yellow splat on their logo. like a bannana squashed by a monkey. like the spot steeeve leaves in his bed.

Spartans will beat the Vikings something fierce. Vikings aren't a terrible team at all and they could do better than any team has so far against the Spartans. But they fall short. (btw your lvl 17 HB with the sub-par build is open for view right now, as is WR Jon Carpenter, G Blocko McBlockington who we'll be going through like wind through a tunnel, and LB Jeff Gazaway who has (i'm sorry to say this) one of the worst LB builds I've seen in a while (pm me for help on that if you want)

Hitmen are going to beat the Deloreans pretty badly. Then the Deloreans have to play the Spartans the next week... guess they'll be boosting before the Hitmen game for the tough stretch. Maybe they can keep it closer if they boost (can they win if they do?)

The oddly named Offtopics are going to slap the Demons around like one ass cheek slapping against the other. That picture is about as pretty as this game will be.

It's going to be a rough year for the Guardians but they have a chance to stay in this ball game for a while. Ultimately the Crusaders win out here but the Guardians will get their top performance to date.

I'm afraid the Mad Dogs are in for a beating vs St. Petersburg. Nobody is going to say the Rasputins are the best team in the land or anything but even if the Mad Dogs boosted they're still getting trounced. They just don't have the fire-power.

Dunno how you can pick the Chiefs - Butchers game. I guess you have to go with the team that doesn't have a CPU starter? I don't know that this is really an 'upset' if the Butchers win but I guess i'll take it.

Mississippi's offense might die of fatigue in this game. It will be as if they're running 4 quarters of wind sprints up and down the field vs Dresden. If they don't win by 50 they should sell back the team b/c it has a bug.

Looks about right to me, Ambrose is more correct in his prediction though when it comes to the Offtopics crushing the Demons.

looks like the top of those rankings will stay like that for the rest of the year.

We shall see. Looks like the Deloreans may take a free fall in the rankings after the next two weeks. It will be a good fight for the #2 - #4 spot between a couple teams I bet.

well i think the top 3 teams are clearly Spartans, Hitmen, and Frankfurt. None of those teams have played each other yet. After that the picture is quite a bit more murky.

i'll say though that i like the effort in self-promoting Scoregasm is making. it would be pretty hard to notice them otherwise. if Dresden or one of the other bad teams made that kind of effort they'd have a lot more fun.

maybe we could set up a 'friendly' tournament where the worst teams play each other. kinda like when the grown-ups are playing they always set up the little sandbox for the kids. Scoregasm would love telling the other kids how great they are. maybe the Spartans would drop by and take all starters off the depth chart and see what hhappens

I'd be thrilled to hold the Spartans to 42 pts. tomorrow. Thanks for the info about the builds-you may think the LB has the worst LB build around, but you haven't seen the rest of em..........lol. We're not the best, nor the worst, but we pulled Cosa Nostra out of the #1 spot for a week...I wonder if we can do it again?

absolutely possible. i was on one of the biggest playoff upsets in GLB last year when Newcastle (8th seed) beat Antwerp Jewish Diamond Dealers (#1 seed) on the last play of the game when a WR caught a short pass and took it to the house from a long ways out.

there are some backups you have with open builds as well

the WR of yours (Carpenter) looks alright. We're going to lock down pretty tight on him though. if you guys want to hurt us you'll have to find an alternate route. i don't know if running outside with the speedy HB is a good idea eiher though because i don't think you can handle our D-Line mano y mano so i'm gearing all the run support to the outside. would be interesting if you run outside all game though because then i can see if playing outside run support does anything worthwhile (difficult to tell sometimes)

Well, by all means, let us run outside on every play...lol. If you don't beat us by 50+ then you should start to worry... Really, there's like 68 of you and only 40 of us-we don't stand a chance. You should be concerned though...I have six new players coming in overnight

Thanks for the info on the open builds...I have already posted a scathing comment in the forum.

It's going to be really embarrassing when you get your ass wrecked by some sandbox-dwelling kids then, eh?
