(-) 1) Omaha BA Mofo's
A decisive victory over the Lions is a good way to start the season. They claimed the top spot, and will have several games lined up in the next few days that will help prove that they belong up here. They may need to focus on preventing the dropsies from occurring through out their receiving corps, but overall showed to be a great team.

(-) 2) Las Vegas Flyin' Elvis
L.V. was ready for the Hitmen, and it showed. The #2 spot overall but the #1 in the East is nothing to be ashamed of. They executed in every way this game having everyone involved and contributing. If they continue to perform the way they did in game 1, every team will be circling matchups against them.

(-) 3) Turin Falcons
Turin every season seems to be one of the top teams overall. They should continue to play well during the regular season, hopefully they concentrate on the regular season and not the monkey on their backs until playoffs. They put on a clinic against a team they are far more superior then. They have no glaring holes, and everyone on the team thus far has done their part.

(-) 4) Back Yard Boys <--- A Certain GM can't take a little joke... sheesh
The Back Door Boys, put down a good Syndicate team, and came into the season appearing as one of the top teams. They put on a good show, and intend on continuing down this path on their way to the playoffs. We won't see exactly how good they are for a couple more games as they prepare to play some of the basement teams from the West. The coach should find a way to calm his gunslinger down, he had a great throwing percentage, but 2 ints might be something to look at.

(-) 5) Austin Orangebloods
Austin put had a great game trying to climb the PRs. They definitely have the personnel to get back to the conference finals. Austin is one of those teams you have a hard time game planning for since almost all of their backups are as good as the starters. It never seems to matter whose in the game as they are always moving forward... Except on this play:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=91900&pbp_id=908877
But anyway, this team is nipping at the heals of the BYB's and Omaha trying to regain their throne out West.

(-) 6) South Bend Red Raiders
Taking out a team that has been a consistent threat every season out West is always going to be a great start. The Red Raiders pounded the ball all game long and wouldn't even let the Snipers think about imitating them. South Bend has a shot at rising to the cream of the crop this season. 5 sacks is what every team would like in their opening game.

(+2) 7) Dirty South Brew Crew
Not much to say this week about the crew as they dismantled probably the weakest team in league and then head towards the other weak team in the East next game. I thought preseason was over. After these games though we will all get to see what the Crew is made of as they take on some of the more powerful teams out East.

(+2) 8) More Cowbells
This team will always have no issues recruiting, so the owner wont have to deal with the drama many others are forced to deal with. The Cowbells received one extra game to get all their settings straight, which they surely like as they prepare to take on the #1 team in the PRs.

(+14) 9) Chocolate City Cha Chings
The C's enjoyed the biggest jump in the PRs from game 1 and probably had one of the best matchups as well. The C's didn't have good performances by some of the key players, but rather great ones. the team seems pretty Solid and everyone did more then their fair share with all the reps that were split up. The C's like many of the new comers to the A 3 league look to be well prepared to compete.

(+2) 10) Sacramento South Side Psychos
Sacramento probably should have done more this game as the Texans season in and out have been the conference punching bag. 24-0 is not a bad thing tough, we will just give the coach the benefit of the doubt, that he did not want to embarrass this team.

(+2) 11) Compton Cougars
The Cougars showed that they have a good enough air attack that a RB isn't needed to carry the load. The Cougars definitely took a game away that could have easily gone the other direction, if not for poor decision making by the other team. The Cougars are very susceptible to the run as the MBPs showed.

(+3) 12) Dallas Longhorns
Talk about your run attacks... surely the Aggies are talking about it. The Longhorns won this game with pure power, this might be something other teams will need to prepare for. The Longhorns want to be more then a team that just falls into the middle of the pack and this performance aids in going towards the appropriate direction. If they can keep their current direction going strong then, this team will jump up even higher in the PRs on their way to a strong seed in the playoff seatings.

(+3) 13) Blacksburg Gobblers
The Gobblers appeared to be ready for game day. They lucked out with recovering a handful of fumbles and showing to be fairly balanced in both attack methods. They appeared to slack a bit in the 4th QTR, which is something the team will need to look into, but they put on a good enough show in the other quarters that it didn't effect the out come.

(+3) 14) Tricity Cardinals
Tricity appeared to struggle against a team that should have been a cake walk for them. They were outplayed on Offense, but despite that were able to get the W. Perhaps the reports about Spiderpig coming into camp a little overweight were true. SpiderPig was one of the marquee players last season and he needs to find his form if the Cardinals are going to be a top tier team this season. Lucky for Tricity, HB Courage Jones Jr. wanted to win, and wasn't going to let his fat ass QB prevent that.

(-4) 15) New York Nightmare
Losing to the C's, of course is not what they had planned. Hopefully they took the game as a learning experience since there are a lot of fixable issues that hurt them in game 1. It probably would have been better to iron out the issues during preseason, but it's still early enough where anything broken can be fixed. The coach needs to get with his D and teach them some better tackling methods, 4 missed tackles by 2 players definitely didn't aid in their cause.

(+9) 16) Slaycity Slayers
Talk about a near perfect game. It seemed like whatever SlayCity dialed up was the perfect play to run. If the Staff can continue to keep this team down the right path, teams might really start to fear the consistently average slayers.

(+9) 17) Dayton Goatse
Meat Drapes will go home as the hero of todays game causing a game winning fumble, that allowed the offense to kill the remainder of the clock. They played a hard fought game, and were able to walk away with the victory. Hopefully Dayton enjoys this season start a bit more then the one from a season ago.

(-11) 18) Mojave Desert Lions
The Lions are a good team and should not be to worried about this loss. They moved down a bit in the Power Rankings, but as long as they rebound, they should be able to jump right back to the top. The coach will need to address his D and try to fix their tackling inefficiencies in the days ahead.

(-11) 19) Chicago Hitmen
The Hitmen have 2 hard games back to back. Hopefully they have fixed their inconsistency problems they had a season ago, and show that they belong back up top the East. The Hitmen definitely struggled in several aspects of game 1, it almost seemed as if everyone was reading a different chapter in a book. The Coach will need to address Luv 2Blitz and his tackling issues.

(-6) 20) South Park ManBearPigs
Stupid 1st and 10 field goal

(-3) 21) NEVADA DICE
Bad timing, this game was in their hands. They were walking the ball down the field and killing the clock along with dayton's hopes. BAM, FUMBLE! It was a good game and the Dice showed they are ready to be in USA A 3. This team should be able to rebound and take some good wins through out the season.

(-3) 22) College Station Aggies
Well the Aggies were not prepared for this game at all. They showed signs of life in the 2nd QTR, but there are 4 quarters, and they did not get the memo. The Coach needs to speak will all his D players since they had over 20 missed tackles. If the Aggies don't properly prepare for their games it could be a very long season ahead.

(-3) 23) Rocky Mountain Snipers
The Snipers felt what several other teams did in the past, with the loss of several players. They are still very competitive and have replaced some of the All-stars that left. The Snipers can get right back in it, after all it's only game 1. The Snipers definitely need to find something to help their rushing game 1.5 yards/rush isn't going to help them any.

(-3) 24) Panthers Syndicate
The Syndicate just had one of those games, it was in their hands at one point, but for some reason they veered away from what was working... the run game. They appeared to try too hard to get their WRs in the game instead of pounding the rock which was working for them. Perhaps playing to what they are better at then to appeasing all the players might be a good direction for this team.

(-3) 25) Shelby Bearcats
Shelby has done well after coming into this league with a real possibility of being thrown back 1 more league. They lost to one of the consistently better teams, and should just move on to the next game. Shelby does need to figure out who is going to help their star RB out and why their FB is their top WR threat.

(-2) 26) D.C. Corruption
D.C. fell behind and stayed down, the aerial game didn't look shabby, but the run game looked horrendous... HEY COACH!! get a RB who can move the chains. DC needs to get in motion, the 2nd relegation spot out east is still available for any team that wants it.

(-) 27) Dallas Texans
This team would definitely be good in a BBB league. Somehow the Texans always find a way to stay here in USA A 3. The texans need to do something unless they like only a handful of wins each season.

(-) 28) Colony 195 Defenders
The Colony can't feel good about this game, it appears they didn't leave enough on the field. This game was full of mistakes from the O-line not protecting their QB to not being able to wrap up the opponent on D. With a few minor adjustments the Colony might be able to fix these areas, but if they don't, they won't get far.

(-) 29) Kansas Twisters
The Twisters were so close to pulling a huge game 1 upset. They had a phenomenal 1st Quarter but tapered off from there. They need to remember football is 4 quarters and that first quarter leads will not always get you a W. They were able to slow down fat ass, but they had no Answer for Courage. They should hold their heads up high as this game should prove to them that they can compete with the best of them.

(-) 30) Cochabamba Pirates
It's saddening thinking about this team, they were such a good and fun group out west, but with the change of ownership and the loss of several players, they are now vulnerable to games like the one against Austin. This team will need to pound the FA Market if they want to be competitive in A 3.

(-) 31) Fargo Woodchippers
Luckily they are not the only poor team out West, and still have a shot at preventing another season of relegation if they want it.

(-) 32) Bay City Bombers
This team was formerly a philly team, which personally I was sad to see go. The new Owner is working with what he has, unfortunately, most likely it won't be enough to keep him in this league after this season.

great job putting all this together. I'm honored by the huge jump but think we will struggle living up to these lofty expectations.

WEll. I thought there would be more bigger jumps by more then just 1-3 teams... the preseason rankings i do are normally off of some weird stat that really has no meaning, pretty much only do the preseason ones to get a setup, and of course to get some off season activity.
Plus you guys were ranked really low before.

I don't have any teams that I hate, there is one definitely out west I am not too fond of, but besides that all the little jabs are in fun, as to make the reads a little more entertaining then a Ben Stein read... I actually received a PM from someone offended with the Back Door Boys jab... But my motto will remain. You don't like it then don't read it.

Always enjoy you putting these together. I must say, as DC of the Panthers Syndicate, I can confidently say we will improve a lot next game. There were some serious kinks in our defense, but I hope for a rematch with the Back Yard Boys because I think we match up well. It was my own fault for not seeing they switched their fastest WR to the #2 position, so he was open all day and gained almost half their yards. LOL, I like the comment on our offense turning away from what was working though, as if we had a choice once we saw it was working! Look at our scrimmages and you'll know why we didn't run much

We will prove we're better than 24....and I have a feeling BYB will prove they're not a #4 team too, no offense to them of course because I give them full credit for giving us a wake up call. But the defense will not be that bad again.
