Ok guys, I know I’m not bolts, but here is my shot at what I’d like to call the “Blackout version” of the W.E.A.7. Alpha Pre-Season Predictions. I looked over the teams, and took in last year’s finishes, and how I thought people game planned, and came up with the following…. If anything I say is wrong about last season, I misremembered it and I expect to be corrected.
(Warning: This write up is purely a prediction and was based on the teams as of day 0 of season 4. It has no bearing on how these teams may actually perform. If you don’t like what is written below, PROVE IT WRONG!)
Bronze Division:
16. Crimson and Cream Sooner Machine: These guys are still looking for that elusive first win. They will get it this year, but it will probably be the only one they get. Just don’t have the talent to keep up with everyone.
15. Clydesdale Colts: The new guys from AAA are in for a rude welcome. I don’t have their previous season to go off of, but as with CCSM, they just don’t have the talent to be able to battle with the top teams in conference. We’ll see what kind of surprise the new comers have for the rest of the league.
14. London Brawling Tommies: I really wanted to put these guys higher, but everyone has improved a ton this offseason, and even though the Tommies proved they can game plan with the best of them, they still have a gap to make up. This is the team I expect to probably prove me wrong the most this season.
13. Oklahoma Outlaws: These guys are improving every day and I’m think they are going to sneak up on some people. They are going to go how their offense goes. Their defense looks solid and it all comes down to if their offense can keep them in ball games.
Silver Division:
12. Vatra Dornei Wraiths: The Wraiths are one of the hardest teams to predict. They had times where they looked very good last year and capable of beating anyone, but also seemed to be very inconsistent. They just missed out on the playoffs last year and I’m predicting they’ll do the same this year, but will be riding RB Jackson Hail all season.
11. Kilkenny Cannibals: The passing attack of the Cannibals is looking to come out this season lead by QB Meko Fountain. He is going to need to cut down on the interceptions after leading the league last year for the Cannibals. They have good talent in the secondary and if they can stop people on the ground, they are going to give teams problems.
10. Ithaca Space Monkees: Could end up being the most improved team this season, as they have added a lot of talent to the squad. Led by RB Izzy Walker, the Monkees are looking to move up the rankings and battle for a playoff spot.
9. St. Louis Storm: They have a playmaker in Jerry Applewhite who can carry these guys a long way. These guys made the playoffs last year, and for them to do the same this year its going to come down to whether the big uglies up front can make enough holes for Applewhite.
Gold Division – Playoff Teams:
8. Wrexham Maelor Brionnfhionn: The team with the league’s best name is back to battle for the playoffs again. With some new weapons, and an offseason of rest, I expect them to come out with a new passing attack lead by their new WR miaous LARROQUE. It’s up to their front 7 to stand up on defense to help these guys make their first trip to the playoffs.
7. Basin City Blues: This team is lead by a couple of the big uglies in OT Dan Dority and DE Chris “The Twister” Turner. If these two big boys can get the rest of their team fired up, the Blues could do some major damage in the league, maybe pull some upsets. They’ll be making another trip to the playoffs this year, but will most likely stop at round one.
6. Warsaw Knuckleheads: They have one monstrous O-Line over there in Warsaw, and its going to come down to if they have the skill players to put up the points they are going to need to have the great passing game they had last year. Their O-Line will take them a long way, but with all the improvements made in the teams, Idk if they can repeat last year’s success.
Platinum Division – The Championship Contenders:
5. Grim Reapers: Defiantly the most improved team in the offseason has brought in a ton of talent this year to battle for a spot in AA. They have brought in WR Assan Leggs to lead a passing attack that could be one of the best in the league. They are going to be the new member of the league’s elite.
4. Dublin Drunken Monkeys: The team that loved to defy everyone is back and has brought in some new players to help them continue being a thorn in everyone’s side. The team that may not win pretty but usually came home with a W, has added big DT Senor Sack to lead their defense to the next level.
3. Amsterdam Arctic Blast: The blast is back for another run at a league title. They had a great 2nd half to last season and had a big upset in the playoffs and I expect they continue much of the same. This ranking is probably too low for them because they’ve proven they can beat anyone. QB Todd Blackledge looks to lead this team to a title.
2. Belfast Mafia: Another much improved squad looks to follow the Stars to AA. With a powerful offense led by OT Chris Raiden and WR Speedy McQuicks, they need to help the Mafia get that Drunken Monkey off their back and battle in the conference championship game.
Diamond Division - Who will follow the Stars to AA:
1. Transylvania Bloodsuckers: Led by record setting QB Jason Coker, the masters of the dark are looking to take the next step and win that conference championship. With Coker and a very talented group of WR’s, they look to outscore everyone on their way to the championship. If their defense can hold up their end, these guys will be in their last season here in W.E.A.7.
Let the debating begin!!!!

For the most part though, these seem to be pretty fair and accurate predictions. Should be a fun year!
