Hey there everyone, as some of you already know I am Arsenal27, the PR Officer of the Sofia Falcons. I thought that this league's forum could use a little bit more discussion so I'm going to try my hand at everyone's favorite topic: power rankings. A couple of things to note before I start-
These rankings are entirely opinion and absolutly no kind of formula is used to create them.
Since the regular season still does not start for a couple of days I have no results to work with so these preseason rankings are pretty much just educated guesses.
Sorry Alpha league but I will only be putting out rankings for Zeta due to the amount of time it takes to properly due rankings.
Now onto Arsenal's Preseason ZETA Power Rankings!
1. Hungary Hungry Hippos

Low Rank: N/A
Taking top honors in my rankings to start the year is the Hungary Hungry Hippos. The Hippos appear to be a very well built team with a solid offense and defense. They appear to have pretty high leveled starters to go along with good depth at a lot of positions. They still have a couple CPU players scattered throughout the roster but overall they look like a very tough team. Expectations for this team should be set pretty high.
2. Belgrade Bears 0-0-0

I really like the look of this Bears squad. They have strong starters and solid backups capable of filling in nicely for both offense and defense. While nothing amazing jumps out at you when you look at Belgrade it would be wise not to overlook this solid all-around team. The Bears are probably setting their sights on finishing high up in this seasons conference standings.
3. Sofia Falcons 0-0-0

Seeing as I am one of the GM's for the Falcons I don't really feel as if I can discuss the positives/negatives of this team without being somewhat biased. I am definetly looking forward to this season and have great expectations for the Falcons.
4. Brown Bay Packers 0-0-0

Low: N/A
The Brown Bay Packers have the looks of a solid team with a fair number of high leveled starters. The backups for the Packers are average with Brown Bay electing to go with a slimmer roster than most teams. The Packers should be a quality side and will be a tough matchup for most of the other Zeta teams.
5. River City Ransom 0-0-0

Low: N/A
River City could be one of the best teams in Zeta if they keep everyone active and use smart tactics. They have what appears to be a solid starting group but could use some more quality backups. The Ransom have one of (if not the) highest leveled players in EE A #5 running the offense for them. Lvl 19 QB Rat Tatootie should be one of the more dangerous weapons in Zeta and will be looking to carry the Ransom to a high playoff seed.
6. Barcelona Chupacabras 0-0-0

Low: N/A
Barcelona looks to have a good overall team but might have some problems with the depth of their team. The Chupacabras are probably a playoff destined team and could be a potential sleeper that is capable of upsetting the teams mentioned above them. Barcelona is a team to watch closely as the season progresses.
7. Spanish Inquisition 0-0-0

Low: N/A
The Spanish Inquisition are another solid overall team who could move up in the rankings with a couple quality wins. The starters look strong and the team has decent depth. They are still carrying a fair # of CPU's but I don't think that they will play a big part in the Inquisitions plans.
8. Athens Gods 0-0-0

High: N/A
Low: N/A
Athens is the last team into my top 8 due to their mix of high and low leveled players. While the roster looks a little hit or miss the Gods seem to have a pretty complete team with only a few CPU's still on the squad. Athens appears to be a little bit of a mystery team who could surprise a lot of people and make a good regular season run or end up disappointing their players by missing the playoffs. Only time will tell.
9. Odessa Pipers 0-0-0

Low: N/A
The Pipers check in at #9 due to the solid look of their roster. The only problem appears to be the number of high leveled CPU players found in their starting squads. I am sure the Pipers will be looking into filling those holes with human agents to improve the overall quality of the team. The amount of CPU's found on the defensive side of the ball is also a little troubling.
10. Boston Piggers 0-0-0

Low: N/A
The Boston Piggers are a team that will be looking to climb the rankings early in the season. They may not look like the most exciting football team but they have pretty good starters and backups. They are still carrying some CPU's but overall the more I look at this team I can't help but think that they could really prove this ranking to be much too low.
11. Bergen Storm 0-0-0

Low: N/A
The Bergen Storm are your #11 team due to the real lack of depth on the roster. The starters are average but should get the job done. One of the positives for this team is that while they are still carrying quite a few CPU's not a lot of them are in the starting lineup. The Storm may be in for a rocky season considering they look like they may upset some teams but disappoint against others.
12. Crete Minotaurs 0-0-0

High: N/A
Low: N/A
The Minotaurs have an interesting mix of high and low leveled players. The roster doesn't seem to be as consistent as some of the teams ranked above them and they may struggle as a result. I will give them credit though, as of the time of posting Crete does not have any CPU's in their depth chart. They will be looking to string together some early wins to help gain some momentum to carry throughout the season.
13. UN Determined 0-0-0
Previous Rank: N/A
High: N/A
Low: N/A
UN Determined looks like it may have quite a few lower leveled players to start the year. They do have a few strong players but that might not be enough to help them win consistently. UN also still has a pretty good number of CPU's clogging up the roster. They may have trouble beating some of the stronger teams in Zeta.
14. Macedonian Phalanx 0-0-0

Low: N/A
The Phalanx's roster contains quite a few low level players with some of them slotted into the starting lineup. Their defense may struggle to contain some of the better offenses in the conference. Macedonian has some work to do if they want to contend this year.
15. Moscow Maniacs 0-0-0

Low: N/A
The Maniacs have a lot of CPU's on their roster and in the starting lineup. They have a couple huge holes in the roster as well (such as receiving) that will need to be addressed. Things could get ugly early for Moscow unless they shore up the squad.
16. New Orleans Jazz 0-0-0

Low: N/A
It is going to be a long season for the Jazz. The entire roster is made up of CPU'S and not a single human player can be found. The Jazz should get beaten by almost every team in Zeta and will be in for a rough ride. New Orleans needs to overhaul the entire team before it can be considered anything other than a bottom ranked team.
