Hey guys, since it's new to all of us...I'm wondering what are people's first impressions regarding the way GLB interprets attributes and the new AI for defense and offense.

Personally, I think the Defense AI is more robust since you can call counters to specific offensive formations. However, I like the situational play calling abilities for the Offense AI...just wish you could call for specific plays out of specific formations.

And I really haven't noticed a change for attributes except that there seems to be a lot more broken tackles. Anyone notice any big differences?

The biggest thing I noticed has to be broken tackles. Waaaaaay too many. I think the power backs have a huge advantage right now. I'm sure Bort is taking care of that though.

another thing I noticed is that pass completion percentage have dropped considerably as well...anyone else notice this?

That's just because most people skimped on tackle. Our team did fine against the Whalers except for our SS who decided to try out normal tackling.

Pass completion died because the attribute buffs/nerfs made WRs drop more balls. For instance, even our Drew Stanton had an "off-day" by firing about 45%, but we also had about 10 drops, which would have bumped him closer to 60%.

we only had 4 drops but completed 9/30 passes...just seems lower than i'm used to seeing and is going to take some getting used to...then again, it could be better competition as well...lol

No problem. Where I stand at the moment:

I am happy with the new pass-rushing feature (added this morning!), and Bort has done a great job changing the value of importance for different attributes. I am too lazy to touch the AI (I'm an assistant ), but the system set up seems to be doing well, and I hope all the errors start to disap...

I agree...the pass rushing tactics added are awesome! I can't wait to see how it works in the game...maybe now speed/edge pass rushers will be relevant instead of running straight at the olineman each time.
