So who is it?

What about the highest amount paid in a trade?

I won't pay for a trade, and the highest salary is not anyone on my team. I don't offer minimums, but I haven't had to lure a lvl 13 for $120K or anything either.

looking at his special ability trees I don't see how he can be hoarding any SP's at all.

To clarify... teams are signing level 8-11s for 100k, 80k with 30-50 bonuses. The level 11 DE I lost was a good build sure, but 100k? My level 17 QB makes 84.8, come on.

They won't be expanding. They are taking out loans to get talent. Marginal talent.

I'm lucky, my team has understanding guys who know I'll get them for their level 16s during the season. My 4 or 5 guys coming in day 1 know this too.

Its just gonna be a mess. You can tell. Its even worse in the south america's and oceania's.

I couldn't agree with this more and my team is the same way. In the season they will get bonuses for their lvl 16 equipment and right now there are way more important things than how much money you are making if you want your team to be successful!

What most of the agents demanding such salaries fail to comprehend I believe, is that outside of equipment upgrades there isn't any reason for cash in GLB to this point. I understand Bort and the admins are planing on adding different methods for players to part with their earned cash, but from what I've read it appears that spending money on those options could be detrimental to the player/team.

correction, detrimental to the team...a player going after these high contracts is more concerned about himself and is obviously trying to get an early start on the "fame" aspect of the game that Bort is planning on implementing which rewards high contracts. If the team can no longer afford to pay salaries...fine, he releases himself back into the market, gets another huge signing bonus and salary until his ego is satisfied. With so many new teams and new ignorant team owners out there, he'll easily find another sucker!

It obviously is a players market now, and owners are breaking the bank to sign them. Time will only tell if the spending spree is worth the investment. To me, some of the owners that is spending all the cash on roster now is bound to bankrupt during the season. It is not like you are going to dominate the league/conference with your high salary level 10. Most owners think as long as they win, the balance will be fine. While there will be 4/16 teams with playoff home games that may break even at season end with standard stadium. I wonder how many owners actually thought about finances and laid out the yearly earning/expenses.

It is a tough market out there now and you are competing with 1000+ teams for that high level player, but is that player really that worth it spending 100K salary and 125K in bonus? Times that by 20-30 players and well, you know the rest. I think if you actually gor a late start on the game, you are better off signing low level players and invest on your stadium upgrades and be ready for season 5.

I am not blasting any owners here, I just looked at the current market and saw some owners that really doesn't care about the team future. All they are looking at is now and try to hide the fact that the team will not even make it to end of this season. Well, I say good luck and I will look you up at the unemployed line in few seasons.

Luckily Ive only spent less than $300,000 on a nearly full roster of almost all 10+ players!
