Warrior General Games

The Minnesota Drillers are moving to Appalachia and will now be known as the Carolina Hammer.

I am not, and never have been a Vikings fan, though the original owner, blackplague is...I figured we would take one last shot at a title as the Drillers (last season), and then 'move' the team to my home state of NC.

I don't expect anything other than the team name to change. Our new stadium has yet to be dedicated.

We will be serving mead, ale, and fire-roasted meat instead of the usual football food and drink.

Just figured I would let you all know so we don't have a crazed thread start about the team being bought or something...

It was just weird for me since I own the team and have absolutely no connection to Minnesota.

Of course, now my team has me wavering about the new team name in favor of another new name...

Name it the Elpaso Texicans. That will drive the league nuts.

damn, I kinda liked having a viking team on the forum since I'm from MN and have DC team... j/k. cool name man and glad its not a texas team

That is exactly why people didn't want to be the Highlanders, I think...

Anyway, because of that, we will be the Carolina Hammer instead. The viking food stays though, and the stadium will be the Anvil.

I just did several google searches for possible logos, with no mention of Viagra and almost no porn outside of the one pornstar with the last name 'Hammer'. Regardless, have you ever given any thought to our current name?
