Still plenty of time to sign FA's but I am going to go ahead and rank the teams...

1) Irontown Tanks
Are you kidding me. These guys already had one of the best defenses in the conference, probably the best now that the Stallions are gone, and they went out about bought a whole bunch of new, high level players. This is especially true on offense. They were stopping everyone last year. The question is could they score. Looks to be no doubt this year. This team is loaded.

<<<Scrogz Sayz - This team was already solid and has loaded up on High level FA's. They are going to be almost impossible to beat>>>

2) Brighton Bears
The offensive Juggernaut from last year and they look to of pretty much stood pat on what they had for players. No reason to think their production will fall off. Their defense looks strong in the secondary and has a couple run stuffers up front. If Flex-EZ can work his magic again this year they will be tough to beat.

<<<Scrogz Sayz - Not sure if they can duplicate their output from last year with other teams adding more higher level FA's.>>>

3) Helsinki Hammers
This team finished as strong as any team in the conference willing their last 8 games and beating a strong Camelot Team in the play offs. Once Helskinki's stupid ass owner got his head out of his ass they really got on a roll. How much difference will the maturing QB make this year?

This big news out of Hammer's camp is last years league leader in tackles, all pro and league defensive MVP, Skrogz Frombehind is no longer good enough to start on defense. This speak's volumes for the Hammer's Depth.

<<<Scrogz Sayz - the owner of the Hammers is a freaking Idiot and will almost certainly screw something up>>>

4) Camelot Kings
This is a solid team all the way around and had the record to prove it last year. Will the Pike boys run wild all over the league again this year? This team is freaking full of Pikes. What, you guys from West Virgina or something? Keeping it in the family? A couple more FA signings could really turn this team into a Force!!

<<<Scrogz Sayz - These guys live and die by the Pike boys but why argue with what works. They will be back in the play offs>>>

5) Chelsea Cardinals
This will be the most improved team this year. They could easily win 13 or more games. The Cardinals have added some key, higher FA's and we all know CaliGaucho is a sneaky bastard (I still think he is Jim Rome). That's a deadly combination. Only reason they are not higher is I am not sold their front 7 can stop the run. All that Fire Power on offense means nothing if they are on the sidelines.

<<< Scrogz Sayz - Cali better start doing the damn recaps again!!! I will be surprised if these guys dont win at least 12 games>>>

6) Rockaway Knights
Rockaway had a tough second half of the season and really lost alot of momentum going into the play offs but they played Irontown tooth and nail in the first round. They don't look to of made any huge changes but they are solid, but not flashy. Slow and steady wins the race.

<<<Scrogz Sayz - a solid 10 + win team. They chemistry may carry them to more wins>>>

7) Rome Bulls
Dropping 5 of their last 7 really took the wind out of their sails last year leading into the play offs. Not many new higher levels on the roster and a GREAT chemistry to show for it. However, they may be dropping a bit behind in the "level race". Still a solid team.

<<<Scrogz Sayz - A solid team but just may not have enough raw levels to compete with the upper tier teams. Still a team to be taken VERY seriously>>>

8) Eindhoven Breakers
These guys played everyone tough last year and really improved toward the end of the year. I would say there is a good chance they can take the next step as a team and compete for a play off spot. It really depends on how it all comes together

<<< Scrogz Sayz - This could of been either of 3 teams. i think the battle for the last play off spot will be a freaking war>>>

*The WildCard Team*
9) Cedar Creek Wildcats
based on their player levels alone this team should contend at the very least for a play off spot. That being said it's hard to pick a team that just got their ass handed to them so many times? A sneaky plot to drop a league maybe? I guess we will see.

<<< These guys have the potential to be even more sneaky than Cali. We'll see what happens>>>

*** All of these picks are made in fun and are not meant to be insulting to anyone or any team (except Baz who is a freaking cheater and Cali who is a sneaky bastard)

I'd welcome other's opinions.

Well done. Will be an interesting season. Early games should be more competitive this time, I seem to remember a lot of CPU players on some teams last season during the first few games.

All you write up guys do a great job, my hats off to all of you.

I have to agree with McMichael on this one. A lot of teams still had cpu players on the roster and some were even staters last season early on. The early games will reflect more accurately this season how a team will more than likely look imo.

Nice job though Scrogz. I love an owner who can poke fun at himself. Some are such ego maniacs, lol. And baz, since when did you move from Ironton to Irontown ,lol!! (and no editing Scrogz )

Ironton.. Irontown, it's all the same! Scrogz doesn't give himself enough credit, anyway.. Helsinki is looking nasty too. The Bears still have super high chemistry, and that's going to give them a bit of an advantage. Still some time for people to make some moves though, and we don't dare to say we think we're on top.

It is a great job though giving some interesting write-ups and news about the teams in the conference, and we surely appreciate it, Scrogz.

I don't know how I've been sneaky? I'm looking for a significant improvement in the Chelsea defense this year. We were playing linebackers on the d-line last season because 3-4 got pushed back to season 4. Our offense should also just continue to get better.

hehehe, I hope you suck at recruiting!!!

I personally have to say the Eindhoven Breakers scare the crap out of me. They played everyone tough, including the Stallions. They had marked improvement at the end of the season. They have figured out something, those sneaky bastards.

Cali -- you are sneaky... as in, quietly putting together one hell of a team.

I know it's only one scrimmage, but I think our team looked very good finally playing the defense they were built for (3-4). Held the Scabs to 3 ypc, which is a good place to start. Don't you guys worry, we'll get the new AIs figured out fast enough.

That would be nice! We built the team to compete next season in your league. I think we would have a good shot at the playoffs in AA this year already. We're not looking past anyone though.

Alpha has a few teams that really overachieve game planning wise. They should do even better with the new settings.

Zeta has some great top teams, rosters, and game planning. No matter what happens with the Bears today or with the Tanks 2 days ago, it won't matter come playoffs. We should all be better than we were at this point in the season. I'm sure the game planning will be much more intensive come playoffs!

The record was the result of receiving a gutted team day1. Wasn't really a sneaky plot, when you lose your first game by as much as we did you can't get high level guys to sign. So e rebuilt but below level for our league and now here we are ready to contend. Good luck to everyone this season.
