I've been intensely curious about how each of our league's teams will rate this preseason. Does anyone else wonder who's going to take it all this next year?

Doubtful - have you looked at the Olympians roster lately? Looks like they were just waiting for the cap to go away.

Olympians roster is just plain not fair.

I cannot complain, as we may well be the (second) worst offender, but does it make anyone else sad that the game forces everyone to upgrade to basically the same level, regardless of league?

I cannot say I can offer a solution, but there should be something to keep people in line and make it so A is actually worse than AA, etc.

We basically had to make our championship starting line-up backups, release our backups and sign all new starters and I wouldn't say we're the favorites. That's a bit depressing. I'd rather have kept my starting unit together, but that just isn't possible year-to-year if you want to compete.

Will the payroll be too high? With the new rules of no negative?

True that. The Silent Pwners have 5 of the starting 24 (including K/P) from last year's roster still starting. Not saying I don't like my team because I love it, but The Olympians are a bit ridiculous. It is quite sad we can't keep our team from last year if we want to compete. Just the way it is.

It's a shame to be sure. There is absolutely no sense of accomplishment one should get from beating teams that are half your level. It's like some major college football team thumping their chests after beating a middle school girls team. I'll not own a team in this sim until they address parity within a league.

GLB needs at least a couple of leagues where real restrictions are in place for boosting, level differences, etc., to prohibit the absurd mismatches that are all too common. Leagues where teams are close enough that scounting, strategy, tactics, and a little luck are the prime drivers of victory.

I'm really surprised there wasn't a second level cap of like 19 or something this season. Oh well - we'll be rid of 2 teams and they can get shelled in AA next season.

For this season the lvl is less important since the Defense and offense Al is here.

I'm not buying that for a second.
