That finished over 500 last year. So 2 seasons from now, is it safe to assume that a good team, with a winning or close to it record could get relegated in the west? 1 team moves up, and 2 teams move down...which are replaced by 2 teams moving up and 1 team moving down. So what is the over/under that by Season 6, a team that was between 9-7 and 12-4 this year gets relegated by the end of that season?

None. Because the CPU will recognize how dominate the West is over the East and all 4 relegated teams will be from the East.

I would assume it's possible... but not probable.
Like, for example, how in the NFL a team could in theory advance to the playoffs with only 6 wins. It is possible.. but just not probable.

if they can stop people from gutting teams it becomes likely. There's way way more teams than players right now and players are going to leave their teams to get big contracts and/or start. Why lose in USA A4 when you can win and get paid in a much weaker league? OTOH teams that get relegated are going to keep getting relegated so I suppose it will even out in BBB. But the rich are gonna get richer for sure. There's just no way to improve a mediocre team now, regardless of what's happened in the past.

There are teams in the West that won't make the playoffs next season that could probably win the Eastern conference next season.

That doesn't really hold too much weight when 2 of those wins came from your two best teams, who are now gone this season, and the other upset was against a team that had its owner missing for a week. The other wins all came against our cream puffs.
We didn't make it last season to the playoffs, and I think we could go undefeated in the East next season (haven't looked at your new teams though).

After the season the west had, we went into that last game already knowing our playoff lineup. No squad took that last week w/a grain salt except for the east.
The west had nothing to gain by playing a conservative (reliable) game plan. Most teams in the west probably gambled some new strats or rotated players heavier than usual.
I'm not going all out and saying the West is better than the east, but the west did a pretty damn good job of beating each other up before that last week against the east. It was probably a relief going into that final regular season game for most teams in our conference.
