Right here right now, WAY before the season starts, I am making 2 predictions. Barring injuries, Notre Dame will be a BCS caliber team and Clausen will be mentioned as a Heisman candidate. Bank it.

Apparently doubting your predictions is a bad idea, but I really can't see that happening. ND should join a conference so they're more worthy of a BCS spot and Clausen isn't quite up to Heisman-talent yet.

Oh and after reading over your post, I realized that you've got an easy escape clause. There's no way Clausen remains healthy all season after being driven into the ground multiple times every single game. And even if you make a BCS bowl, ND won't have a "BCS-Caliber" team; you never do, you play a patsy schedule and get automatic inclusion with 9 wins. If you doubt this, look up your BCS bowl game record to date.
