Anybody know the chain of events that occur over the offseason? For instance, when do stadiums get built, when are the schedules made, etc.

stadiums get build after the off-season ends...so typically it happens right before Day 1. Schedules typically come out on the last day of off-season i believe. as for how long the off-season will be...only bort knows that and it's dependent on how smoothly his off-season maintenance goes.

I am only bringing in replacements for those that either were to low a level (compared to the rest of the team) or wanted to leave (which was only three).

We didn't cut you...we simply didn't resign you. That's what happens to contracts when they expire. Its nothing personal; your guys would get virtually zero playing time if they stayed on. We try to put the best possible product on the field. That's what we do. Unfortunately, your players were not part of the equation.

i do have to agree with narc that we did our best to get every player on our team max PT. we had a great season and was thankful to every single player who made contributions. in terms of taking care of our players, i know narc and i rank near the top in GLB. it was a tough decision that narc and i debated over and over but in the end, we decided not to resign players that weren't going to get any PT.
the other alternative was to resign players to a contract and then keep them on the bench so they didn't develop. i've been there with prick owners who have no regards for their players' development and end up making false promises to sign players to long term contracts only to let them rot on the bench. i think not resigning our players was the right move so they can go somewhere and get PT. and we didn't cut anyone...

as a third party to the situation, i have to agree with narc and drunc. the reality is the top teams in this league have/are making offseason improvements. i have a feeling that lvl 10s and 12s simply wont have spots on some of the top teams in this league. ultimately their choice to not resign you actually was more of a help to you than hindrance. i had to make tough choices to get rid of some guys i really liked but simply wouldnt get any PT. in the end your PT on a lower level team will benefit you more than sitting there watching the team from the bench. if you ever get a team of your own you will understand better. its the unfortunate side of being an owner.

Of course, I would not expect any less! Next season should be a fun one. The sting of losing by 1 point to the ladies of Venice is still felt. We are coming back with a vengeance.
As for the team that dropped down, they have some nice players. But you are right, they are a little soft in the depth department. However, I'm sure they would be competitive here.

as a former cheetah i understood where narc and monkee were coming from.
did i like being on the team? yes! did i like riding the pine? HELL NO!
