Did the Superbowl represent which Conference was superior to the other?

wow... that was uncalled for. I was trying to say that the conference was so competitive that our #3 seed made it to the final and beat the elephant's #1 seed pretty soundly. In fact, Angola's games in the playoffs were more competitive than the championship game.

This thread is to discuss which conference you THINK is better, not for making 3rd grade comments.

Seeing as I have spent alot of time researching the teams for the power rankings this season... I would say that Lion is stronger as a whole. However does that mean better? Elephant is more competitive and more equality amoungst the top 8 or so teams, which makes things more interesting. As I have said in the past, does it really matter comparing the two? The only meaningful game we play is the championship and even at that its only a comparison of the top two teams.

Lion came out on top this year, if you feel that warrents bragging rights so be it, but who knows how season 4 will turn out?

In head to head, we won 9-8 (including the championship).

Again that has to do with the Parity (and the way they generated matchups...)

IMO Lion has 4 of the leagues top 5 teams, however Elephant is by far the most competitive. I used this analogy last time we had this discussion and ill use it again. Lion=AFC Elephant=NFC. This past season the NFC won the head to head mathcup battle between the two conferences however its hard to dispute that the Pats, Colts, Jags, and Chargers werent the best teams in the league.

Hmm.... I dispute that very clearly.. the Giants won.....

And yet they went 10-6 during the regular season and the Pats went 16-0, do you honestly want to tell me that the Giants are the better team or is it just that they got lucky? No other team in history went 16-0 during the regular season and even the Dolphins only won 17 games during their undefeated stint while the Pats won 20 before they lost. I may hate them, but I do honestly believe that the 07-08 Pats were the best the NFL has seen.

Hell the Giants couldnt even win the NFC East, congrats to them on winning the championship but they werent one of the best teams last year.

giants didn't win by luck... no such thing. i think the pats went into game thinking that they were gonna win easy but the giants showed up and gave them a game....

Isn't that what the Superbowl suppose to determine? Who the best team is?

I don`t see the point of arguing the obvious:
-in interconference gameday Elephant teams won 9-7
-in only game that matters, Lion`s Angola won.

So, i have to admit that Lions conference was stronger this year.

I'm confused. The Western Conference is better in hockey. So this is a terrible example. The NFC/AFC example is much more viable.
