League Championship coming up.

Paris Philharmonic v. Grass Roots Divots

Predictions?

[Mine: Although I'd love to see the Divots get the win, I'm putting the Philharmonic up by a touchdown or less]

They humped us last game of regular season. No reason to believe things will be different this time round. It'll probably be a sign of things to come next year as well. We better be getting used to the sight of the back of the woodshed seen from about one and a half feet from the ground.

the philharmonic have been on the real revenge tour. they lost to every team they've topped in the playoffs... but they didn't lose to the divots.

it will be interesting to see if their fortunes continue to reverse themselves.

That's a fun fact. I didn't even realize that before reading your post

(It seems that the philharmonic hasn't contributed to the forum for a while. However, we're all here, expecting an exciting season finale a couple hours later. Best luck for the divots and us.)

It's not like Philharmonics intentionally lost to those teams in regular season, you know.
Those teams are respectable rivals, and they beat us in regular season, plain and simple.

It's Playoffs now. With the last game of regular season under our belt, we're more confident going into this Championship game.

I really couldn't pick it. I think it'll come down to a TD or less, by either side. I'll probably side with the Divots on this one, but won't be surprised either way.

Looking at the matchup screen, we're outclassed by the Philarmonics in all departments except kicking. Given this and the 36-10 loss in the regular season, I think we're going to get thrashed once again. Still, you never know, we might get our fourth favourable sim on the bounce

41-0 end result. Not sure what happened there, but something didn't go right - or the Philharmonic have hit on a good strategy

Err, I'd say "good game" but we were crap - just like I said we were

they held off till late in the season to boost their guys. they were always a lock for the play offs but they did this one very cleverly and tactically. they have a solid team also with good management. no offence to the divots but my money is on Paris.

better the devil you know than the devil you dont

We're trying to work out what went 'wrong', but its hard to find what went right.

We had a mismatch on one TD with our backup safeties in - which we were aware would be an issue going forward - but the other was a straight throw on top of our cornerback and somehow Chang brought it down. Great play, bit infuriating as it was the only one McRichardson has conceded this year.

One of our HB's disappeared, or run game got stuffed (which is kinda predictable) and then we couldn't get the pass game going because of their pass rush.

All in all it was a complete breakdown of our settings due to a combination of good gameplanning by Paris, and some great individual plays.
