I know at the NFL combine they test jumping (Vertical leap) to grade a player's explosiveness. They also use the broad jump to evaluate explosiveness, which is more jumping.

So does anyone know if that jumping can increase one explosiveness off the line?

I've always wondered if training Jumping would improve run blocking.

jumping would probably come in handy for the endzone high five

I have trained it a little for my DT, but not enough to notice a difference.

I would assume no, they probably equated that explosiveness to strength, as in reality that's what it is, all lower body strength.

so nobody ever trained jumping up at all for OL? I was considering whether to try it...prob won't tho.
