1. Moose Jaw Jackalopes (9-0): Peyt0n went deep twice to Gee Gee, and Biakabutuka took one in from over 60 yards to lead the rushing attack as the Jackalopes eliminated the Olympians. If the Northern Lights D cant keep the Jackalopes Offense in check, Moose Jaw will cruise into the Semi Finals

2. Yukon Silent Pwners (9-0): The Pwners took control in the second half (28-0 second half score) as they used the long ball and a steady diet of, that’s right, Frankenstein and the Machine to silence Sactown. The defense also held their offense in check giving up only one score. They will host Manitoba for the second matchup of the season between these two.

3. Montreal Maniacs (9-0): Trickerson eclipsed the 100 yard mark in the Maniacs victory. Norfolk’n brought it close at the beginning of the second half when Rocker took Coops pass 70+ yards to the house. But that was as close as it would get. Cambridge comes marching into town to try and avenge their regular season lose.

4. Manitoba Wild Boars (8-1): Manitoba shut out the Maelstrom as they rushed to victory (over 350 yards rushing). The Maelstrom managed a whole 2.5 yards on the ground. They’ll need to bring that same intensity when they head into Yukon.

5. Northern Lights (8-1): The Lights took this low scoring affair against the Yetis, yielding only 3 pts. They probably wont be able to keep MooseJaw to only 3 pts, so their offense will need to pick it up if they want to upset them.

6. Cambridge Thunder Cats (7-2): Cambridge pulled out a close one vs. Alert with a great defensive effort. Montreal will pose a bigger challenge to this unit, but if they are up to it, they could find themselves in the Semi Finals.

7. Prince George Kings (7-2): Shotgun Messiah took control in the 4th as the Kings beat Grim Afterlife in the game of the week. Prince George looks to avoid the same fate as San Diego as Bort’s Wrath struts into town with some newfound confidence.

8. Bort’s Wrath (4-4-1): WOW, In the biggest upset of the season, Bort’s Wrath left San Diego wondering what went wrong. One clutch drive and some dominating D was all it took. I don’t think Prince George will allow that to happen, but Bort’s already took out the former #1 ranked team, so why not #7.

I enjoy the recaps as well - thanks for taking the time. I still think the Falcons should be on the list of 8 up there We got screwed down the stretch and choked it all away.

Yeah, two teams I am sorry/glad we didn't have to face; Winnipeg Falcons and San Diego Rockstars. Would have been nice to plan against you, but you guys were tough and could have changed the outcome of our so far undefeated season!

I think the road the PWNERs have to the finals is brutal. The Boars are clearly the best 1 loss team in the league, with the PWNERs handing them a 7-point defeat earlier. Montreal has won every game in its path, and will have home field. Then the western champ awaits. I still think we'll be favorites, but no sure thing, as the Wrath showed last week.

Any idea how much home field plays into these games before teams have massive stadiums? Also, is there a neutral site in the championship game, like the Superbowl, or does one of the teams host? If so, how is host team determined?

Home field only means you get the ticket $ and concessions. You do not get any morale confidece ability boost or anything as far as I have read. Also for teams with and without homefield in the playoffs bort institued a bonus program so everyone makes some extra $$.

Hey Lux, with the season drawing to an end I just want to thank you for the entertainment you bought with your rankings and recap that you have done during the season. I am sure anyone that has taken the time to read them have appreciated what you have done.

The bonus is tiny compared to the revenue generated by hosting a game

I asked that same question yesterday in the main forums and the consensus answer was that there is no home field advantage whatsoever. It is only about $$$. I think your stadium layout and attendance should factor in. If you're on the goal line on the road, and your opponent has the endzone filled, it should affect your ability to score.

Agreed. I'd have to look again I don't remember off the top of my head I belive it went in 100k steps between playoff rounds.

Do teams make money for playoff games?

AYes the home team makes money from concessions as well as ticket sales from the games. Also teams are rewarded for making the playoffs

Round 1 (100k)
Round 2 (200k)
Round 3 (300k)
Round 4 (400k)

EDIT: "round 1" means that you made it to round 1.

I agree. The advantage should be small at the A league level, but not zero, and should increase with size and build of the stadium. Kinda surprises me there is no home-field advantage in the sim.

Yeah that haven't been able to implement a 3-4 defense or scrambling QB yet, so home field advantage is probably a ways off...
