Yeah the lion conference dominated today. The Tractors who are a 3rd place team squeaked a win over our our 13th place team. The Infection beat a good team, but thats really about it.

Ur kidding right? The Elephant conference vs. Lion Conference record was 9-7. Losses are losses my friend. Including the one ur nearly playoff-bound Minnesota Mafia lost to our now 4-12 Mogadishu Malice. Other than the loss of the Camels to the Dream, i see nothing significant other than L's in any of the close games for your side.
Just being frank I dont think its even arguable that Lion has the top 4 or so teams in the league, however Elephant conference definately has more parity which makes it more competitive. I have no doubt the league champion will be from Lion. I think a good analogy would be to say Lion=AFC and Elephant=NFC...
On a side note we also have the Phoenix Heat who were once upon a time one of the leagues best but they decided to destroy their chemistry which ended up being their undoing.
Guys I don't think these games proved all that much. I know that we (Killer Bees) had high sub rates to give our backups a lot of playing time. It looked like Tractor did the same. I didn't check any of the other games to see, but that gives you two games right there that aren't 100% acurate.

No offense ment because I love the Bee's and Ranks... but the Marvins still would have had 2+ levels on you at every single position had you played your starters. I agree that the games dont mean everything nor are they relevent because at most teams in our conferences only play 1 meaningful game a year and that is the championship. For all intensive purposes we are two entirely seperate leagues that share one forum.
Talent wise, as I have said, I think Lion conference has the top 4 or so teams in Africa AAA#1... but Elephant has more parity and is much more competitive which makes things more interesting and requires alot more effort. Thought I guess neither conference will have bragging rights until the championship game is played.

KF, I know I've hinted at this before... but have you ever wondered if you had a doppelganger out there?
we screwed around with tactics significantly as well and still won, granted we played a non-playoff team. How can anyone say something so arrogant as the Lion has the top 4 teams when the GRI beat Kalahari today? Not to mention people over there commenting about the depth of your conference. What a joke. Our 7 seed beat your 5 seed. Our 8 seed beat your 6 seed. Our no seed beat your 8 seed and a 3-12 team knocked the Minnesota Mafia out of the playoffs. 2 of our playoff teams lost (to your #1 and #3 seeds) and 4 of yours lost (all to lower teams). You might have 4 really good teams, but your depth sucks. Also, those 4 teams are probably pretty close to the Elephant's top 4. If you don't think so, there's nothing more I can do to prove it to you except root for whoever represents us in the championship game.
yeah, main argument of Lion conference apologists is that Tractor won only 36-31 WAKE UP, this was last game before play-offs, so some experiments were made in tactics.
But then again, we`ll see which conference is better in final

I said parity, and parity means equality or depth. Honestly I do think that Lion has 3 or 4 teams that would go undefeated in Elephant, and I think the Knight Ridders would have won that game 6 or 7 times out of 10 sims. As I sad earlier, comparisons between the two conferences are ultimately a waste as the only meaningful game they play is the championship... and even then its only between two teams. Time will tell which conference "comes out on top" for this season.
