It's gonna give us a nice measuring stick to see how we match up with what we consider to be one of the top tier teams from the West. We've been competitive all year. Just haven't caught the breaks needed to get into the playoffs.
Nothing but respect for the boys from Lincoln.

- Side note : One of my best friends is a high school football coach in Florida. He had the chance to meet some scouts from Nebraska during a high school all star game in Orlando. This was back in the late 80's/early 90's. He's been in close contact with the boys in Red ever since and they have treated him like royalty. I always admired Nebraska's power football and Blackshirt D. Was VERY disappointed when they actually brought Callahan in and he went a different direction with the west coast bullshit.
Being an SEC fan, we appreciate power football and good D. Nothing but respect on my end for the Husker program and I hope it returns to its prominence as one of the class programs in NCAA D-I. Sorry for the story but just wanted to share my respect for the Corn-Fed farm boys in the midwest.
Good luck Lincoln and I wish ya luck in the playoffs.

GL to you guys as well. Under Pelini and OC Watson, we'll see more spread option but we'll stick with a more balanced approach than what you saw under Osborne. We aren't too far off in terms of talent but the defensive coaching in particular has been horrific. An 8 or 9 win season would be a good springboard for the Huskers.
