Hey everyone I was just curious about something. How many teams were new to the league this season? Some teams were obviously new like Doinitin and Cairo seeing they started the season entirely level 1, but others it's hard to tell. I was just wondering how many teams in this league were expansion teams this season. Some teams like the Silverbacks and Rumblers were very good teams, and I was just wondering if they accomplished everything in this one season? If so I'm amazed, I've learned this season from GM'ing my first team, an expansion team, how tough it can be to put together a solid team and fill it with active and game-smart people. Anyway, I'm looking foward to next season here in Africa, keep up the great work in the forums with predictions and such guys. Best of luck to those of you who made the playoffs, I'm eager to see how it turns out.

Our team, Togo Strikers, was a new team. We were given 500K and a roster full of CPU players. We spent about 5 days recruiting from the forums, and your right, it was hard. Some teams, (like Kinshasa and Kigali) brought players over from a team they previously owned, which is why all their roster is level 20+. I'm sure some teams in the Lion conference did it too. It's a great way of becoming a top team right away, but its not exactly fair to teams that spent their time recruiting and building all off-season, and makes the competition pretty one-sided.

yes, Africa was all new, nobody had any special advantage. That is why Nigerian Nightmare, Impalas, Bandits, and the Marvins would be able to compete next season in AAA and could probably be dominating is they were there right now, I would say that we would even be giving Laggo's Africa Pro team a run for the money.

None of my players were from teams I previously owned. This is the first team I have ever owned and I left the players I originally made on the Oceania Pro team I'm the OC for. I created a number of players while on that team in preparation for a team I knew I was going to own in the near future.
I recruited my ass off for four days straight when I first was given the team. (Exactly like you did). Don't diminish my accomplishments. I worked very hard to get this team to where it's at.

Nigerian Nightmare, Impalas, Bandits, and the Marvins
These teams would barely compete in the Elephant Conference in AA#1 let alone AAA.

HA HA first that is funny, when I made that comment I was also referring to the top elephant teams could also compete in the higher leagues, since basically the Pro, AAA, and AA were all dealt with the same hand.

If you refer to a team you normally name them but yes we were all dealt the same hand.

It's a shame none of our top 3 teams played yours. Though your #4 team beat our #4 team.

Actually the game you reference was our #4 (should be #3 but the tiebreakers are not being applied correctly) knocked your #3 down to #4.

I don't know. Our #3 beat our #4 so our tiebreakers must be being applied correctly (as are yours).
You guys didn't score enough to be #3.

Curious to where you heard that about Kigali. also, look again at our rosters... we might have 3 guys at level 20, thats it.
